The product does what is claims, which is provide heat without light. My iguana loves it because it keeps his big cage nice and cozy, especially his basking spot. It does get quite hot, so make sure you have a thermometer, timer, thermostat, or rheostat to maintain the temperature youre aiming for and that your animal cant touch the bulb. Make sure you have a dome/lamp with a ceramic socket for this bulb. Also, pay attention to how many watts youll need for the size of the enclosure youre heating. I was able to find this cheaper on Amazon than the pet stores. Edit: its been 3 years and this emitter is still working, making it a great value.

Works really well! I have had it over a month now with no problems. It saved my bearded dragon and my wallet.

The light is warming but not hot enough. Keeps my 55 gallon tank at the end placed at only 100 degrees. I need a hotter one I guess. But it will do for now. Some heat is better than no heat. I run it 24/7 and is nice that there is no visible light

Ceramic heaters are perfect for keeping tanks more without unnecessary light that may bother the animal.

I bought two of these ceramic bulbs to heat a space approx. 60 cu ft in my chicken coop. The daytime highs are usually below freezing so I leave one on all the time and the other is on a dawn-to-dusk timer so the coop isnt freezing when the (free range) hens return to the coop to lay. I have the bulbs in lamp fixtures with ceramic bases and protective cages. They make warm spots for the hens and keep their water from freezing. Ive only been using them for a few weeks but so far they are great and the hens seem more cheerful about winter.

This was a perfect addition to the red heat lamp in my small henhouse. Will buy another to replace this when it goes out.

This is a great buy, an excellent source of heat for my tortoise and long lasting. Would buy another one, if this one ever dies.

I bought this heat lamp to keep my pet ducks house warm in the subzero weather weve been having here in MN. So far, it has held up pretty well after being on for 1.5+ months of being on. The ducks appreciate it.
