Greater than one weekI love this. I recently switched from a red light to this bulb. My snakes seem more alert and rested. The seller was great and checked in with me to make sure I was satisfied

> 3 dayMaybe because it is in the wire cage clip suggested and heat disperses, but there is more heat coming from a light bulb than this thing. Hard to tell if it is even on.

> 3 dayI was buying the emitter to replace the one I already had that had gone bad. The original emitter I bought was great and served its purpose. However, the one I recieved from here was loose from the metal and caused sparks if it was barely bumped!! Dangerous for my little hedge hog! May have been a defect with the one but I still need a replacement.

> 3 dayThis item was purchased to replace a 150W infrared bulb in a chicken coop. It seems to put out the same amount of heat (150W), and has the added bonus of not producing any visible light. So why did I give it only 4 stars? I just cant bring myself to writing that I love a ceramic heater.

> 3 dayI wanted to use this on a red tail boa that I had in a 40 gallon breeder tank. I had it on for several minutes (probably about 30) and it would not heat the basking area of the tank sufficiently which is about 16 inches away from the lamp. I replaced it with what I had before and am currently using, a red heat lamp bulb. I gave this 2 stars instead of only one because it DID get hot, and I mean scorching hot, but it didnt radiate heat much past about 6 inches.

> 3 dayOur first experience with one of these bulbs was okay. It lasted for about five months. I ordered a second bulb well in advance. But when the first bulb died, i opened up the second package, and the entire bulb was cracked in half. So: these bulbs are fine, if they arrive in working order. Wish the shipping dept would realize that bulbs are fragile.

> 3 dayThe light is warming but not hot enough. Keeps my 55 gallon tank at the end placed at only 100 degrees. I need a hotter one I guess. But it will do for now. Some heat is better than no heat. I run it 24/7 and is nice that there is no visible light
