Greater than one weekArrived well protected in box, works fine. Heated up within seconds. Does its job. Produces no light.

Greater than one weekLasted about 2.5 years. Will be getting another one though. It worked great and offered even heat to my golden greek tortoise. Yes these do get hot, about 500 degrees which is why you put them in the cages. Make sure small children dont have access to them because it will burn.

24-11-2024This makes a great heat source for brooding chicks, when you want to give them a Day and Night cycle. Add a Zoo Med Repto-500 thermostat and you have a great way of acclimating chicks!

> 3 dayI ordered this to keep my chicken coop warm in the winter. I use this instead of a heat lamp because I want all the power going into making heat unlike a heat bulb that you buy at the hardware store. Some of that energy goes into light instead of heat.
