> 3 dayThis thing is WAY too small. Knowing that adults from the 90s with now ADULT SIZE HANDS are going to be the chief consumers of this product, why on EARTH would you make this thing so small? What were you thinking? I will keep it only because I need a 6-button control to play some of the later Genesis games, but if it werent for that I would send this thing back. I very rarely write reviews, and rarely negative ones, but the design of this just doesnt make sense. The original Genesis Mini controller was already a bit too small, and somehow these guys managed to make one EVEN smaller. Hopefully someday, someone makes a controller with the exact dimensions of the original. Those controllers were great back then even when I had smaller hands because its size made you feel like you had a good full handle on it.

> 3 dayThe controller is comfortable to hold, easy to get working and synced with included receiver, and completely removes the hassle of ever having to plug and unplug cords ever again. At this point having wireless controls for all retro consoles is a must and these fit that bill well for the sega genesis. The SEGA branding on the controllers themselves pushes these over the edge since similar wireless options do not have that. It makes them look stock like the video game console from the 90s would have had these as an option even back then. A must by for anyone still playing SEGA consoles in 2021. Only drawback is they charge with micro usb instead of usb C.

> 3 dayThis is a great controller and it feels almost exactly like my original 6-button Genesis pads, but unfortunately, it’s almost useless for the “Sega Genesis Classics” game on the Switch. The problem is the buttons aren’t mapped to mirror the the original 6-button controller, they map to a Nintendo style A, B, X, Y, L, R layout. You can’t “customize” the controls in any of the Classics games either, so there’s nothing you can do about it. It’s probably great on the Genesis or a retron Genesis system, but do not buy this for that “Sega Classics” Switch game, you’ll be highly disappointed. 4 stars for the quality. 1 docked for it not being clearly stated in the description that it can’t be used as an apples-to-apples version of the original 6-button controller.

Greater than one weekI bought two of these for my Genesis Mini. Out the box, they had trouble pairing and Miss assigned buttons that rendered games unplayable. I specifically bought these to play Xeno Crisis on my mini. I found the company to have lackluster customer service, and the controls had software incompatibility with hakchi. After 2 weeks of getting back and forth with customer service, I finally found the solution myself. I had to pull Hakchi off, reinstall the factory Kernal and install Planet lunar help instead. If it werent for the crappy customer service that I experienced, they would definitely have a higher rating for me.

> 3 dayThe buttons on this controller feel loose and flimsy wth a lot of play. Same with the d-pad. Shoulder buttons feel very click-y, like they will wear out easily. Very disappointing in comparison to genuine Sega Genesis gamepads when new and also the various 8bitdo controllers I own.

> 3 dayI purchased this wireless controller recently to use with my PC and I was hoping it would also work with my Atari. Great news! It works. So lets start with the good things: The look and the packaging are both outstanding. It comes with a nice case that holds the controller, the 2 dongles, USB cord and manual. It works with a wide variety of systems, including the Atari 2600 and 7800 (one-button only). I have yet to test on my Atari computer and original Genesis, but those should work fine with it too. Now for some not-so-good things: the controller is very light, which seems a bit odd. I never had this particular model of wired Genesis controller, so I cant really compare it though. Actually the only Genesis controller I have is a wired Hyperkin 6-button which is bigger and seems heavier. They could have put some weights in it. Just sayin. But the worst thing about this controller has to do with pairing. It should be automatic, and many times it is not. The controller and receiver lose their connection somewhat quickly when power is shut off to the system, then they need to be paired again by holding down buttons on both the dongle and controller. This is not so much of an issue on the PC, where you can switch games and emulators quickly without ever shuttling down the system, but with a console, you typically have to. I found that on the Atari 2600, if you swap out cartridges quickly (within 10 seconds or so) it will usually automatically re-pair itself. It didnt always do that on the Atari 7800 however and I had to fight with the pairing buttons again. Also, with emulators on the PC, you will have to go into the settings and manually configure some of them (for example, in Stella, you will have to set the inputs to move up or down manually). Anyway, for $35, I was expecting a little better. For a comparison, the Blue Lake wireless PS2 controllers, while not Genesis compatible, are half the price, work great with PCs, and always pair automatically.
