Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning 2 | Disc Burner & Video Capture [PC Disc]

I purchased this software to copy DVDs I had made on a Sony DVD recorder of family videos ( originally done on Sony 8mm), primarily of memories of our various postings in Europe and the U.S. while I was in the military. I wanted to make copies for my children and grandchild. Over a month of patches and various other attempts and getting a single disc copied to no avail. I binned this sofware. Money NOT well spent. Oh yeah, multiple contacts with the company until answers from them became increasingly negative. Basically they ultimately said it was me or my version of Windows 10 at fault. I DO NOT recommend this software. In the end I ripped the family DVDs to MP4s and copied them to flash drives.

I have used the original version of the software since 2011. Recently I purchased a new computer & was concerned about installing an application that was 9 years old. So, I purchased the newest version that Roxio released in 2019. It looks and feels the same as the prior version & installed just fine on Windows 10 version 20H2.

First, Corel Tech Support is slow to respond - minimum 5 days - and then they ask you for technical info if youre asking about the original software (EC&D1 well call it). They dont have a clue so you must through trial and error try to bring those older files into EC&D2. They suggested I buy EC&D2 to see if itd work because they dont know. Well it does, with work and yet it doesnt. SlideShows created in EC&D1 can be updated to EC&D2 and any audio you used may or may not follow. Music Creator files however are not compatible with EC&D2. They speak a foreign language that 2 doesnt comprehend Using 2 is slightly easier to use than 1 in that 2 actually has a user manual (well, sort of) that answers some questions that will arise with use. So be sure to download it and maybe print those sections on features youll use. Important: As noted by other reviews, burn from software files. After saving your project, create a file and then drop and burn to your disc. You will save a lot of discs that dont work properly. Right now Im on day 5 waiting for tech support to tell me how to remove the red box and words ROOT MENU on the premier slideshow main screen. The manual doesnt even touch on that so I hope tech support knows. = Tech didnt understand the question. After several emails, they finally said, Oh, you want to change what it says. OMG! In all, not a bad program. If you liked 1, youll like 2 as long as you dont mind losing audio created with 1. UPDATE: New improved software has a limit of 4 slide shows per DVD - period. EC&D1 was limited by the disc space, not the number of shows. Thats a downgrade.

Fails to function at all Icons are the only thing that show up after loading. Also i had to buy Revo tool to remove this program trash and free up my computer space. I used the disk to fill a trash bag it was not worth the gas to return it. Run away from this fast!!

Warning! Please stay away from Coral Roxio. This is their third software Ive tried recently , none of their products are properly updated (re- programmed ) to work with modern updated operating software. Old programming software that they invest very little to correct to make compatible with new operating systems and software. After installing this software, I noticed all other unrelated software on my computer running slow and hanging up. This happened too when I tried there PaintShop and Roxio Creator 9. Their software is not fully compatible with Windows updated operating systems. After a few window updates youll lose many functions of their software and they never offer patches or updates either, a sham. Its like a money grab to live off of Old programming versions, technology and name, not willing to invest to redo their software properly. Roxio used to be wonderful many many years ago, its not the same company today as it was years past. They do very little to properly upgrade their software and give you patches and updates so they work along with Windows updates and other driver updates. They never offer updates and fixes. Several of their products Ive tried are simply lemons and they should be pulled from the market.

NUMEROUS EMAILS, NOT ONE ADDRESSED THE FACT THAT I CANNOT GET LABELS TO PRINT. WENT TO ONLINE CHAT - THEY TRANSF TO ME TO JUST ASK WHICH REQUIRES $5.00 DEPOSIT TO SUPPORT A PRODUCT I ALREADY PAID FOR. THINKING BBB, CLASS ACTION SUITE, BAIT & SWITCH. DONT BUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!
