Must have for any EDC bag. Make sure you throw a roll or two of wrap or an ACE Bandage in there as well to secure it to the affected limb.

Any trauma / first response bag needs a quality splinting material. Make sure you have adequate culex and ace wraps.

I go backpacking alot, I bought this for my first aid kit. The splint is really cool. Its light, light enough to make it into my pack. I bought the 36 inch version it rolls up nicely and is a little bigger than the average mans fist. Came on time and was nicely packaged.

I do a lot of backcountry travel and these are a lot of weight for not a lot of reward. They are only slightly ridgid but dont add much more than just padding and compression.

Must have for Level one first aid kit

Used this recently when my son broke his leg. Kept his leg stable while we got him to the hospital. Dont know what I would have done without it. Replaced it in my kit right away. Highly recommended. Im an RN with field medicine experience so I know how to use this safely. Educate yourself on the proper use of this splint before using it.
