> 3 dayI can’t write a review until I use it. All I can say is it is light weight. I can’t tell you if it’s easy to use or a value for the price until I am in a situation that requires it, and hopefully that is never.

> 3 dayIt was folded. Could have bought what I received elsewhere. Still got the right brand though, so not a total fail, but annoying.

> 3 dayI just bought three different SAM-type splints on Amazon and they seem comparable: (a) SAM brand, $13.49, Made in USA (b) Everready 4.25 X 36 Inch Padded Aluminum Splint, $6.16, Made in China (c) Dixie 4.25 X 36 Inch Padded Aluminum Splint, $5.87, Made in China As far as stiffness goes, they are all about as stiff and to me, the SAM seems to be the limpest of them all. They weigh different amounts, could be foam weight, could be aluminum weight, could be both. In same order as above, weights are: (a) 123g (b) 149g (c) 140g The only big difference I see, besides instructions printed on the splint, is smell. (a) No smell (b) Slight petrochem smell (c) Slight petrochem smell. B and c come folded. I smoothed them out and rolled them just like the SAM brand. The fact that they were folded did not seem to affect my ability to roll them or form splints into desired shapes.

Greater than one weekThis is a must have piece of equipment for a first aid kit. You can use it to split anything. Ive uses lots of them and this is by far the best.

> 3 dayIts very functional and can be used in a variety of configuations. I think its took bulky to be carried in a backpack unless you had room to pair in a 70L + backpack.

> 3 dayThe best, most versatile splint on the market. You can use it on arms or legs, to make an improvised cervical collar, or for many other situations. We use these at work, and I carry one in my car. Very easy to use and has instructions on the splint itself.
