This is a great monitor, games look amazing, easily mounted to desk with third-party stand. I use an HDMI cable to attach this to my Windows PC. My only complaint is this: about once a day, the screen will go black for a second, then the picture will reappear, with the HDMI popup in the top-left, as if the monitor was changing modes to HDMI. This can happen either when Im not doing anything (literally just have Windows running idle while Im checking my phone) or when Im in the middle of a game (annoying, but rare). I dont have anything else plugged into the monitor but the power cable and the HDMI cable. If this issue was fixed this would be a 5-star monitor.

Pros: First, I’m using this monitor with a new Mac-Mini computer, bought the monitor online through AMAZON. Very simple to assemble – took me all of four minutes. I love this monitor. I originally had a 21 and this 27 is not just larger, it’s significantly larger. Its light weight and has a generous base so it’s steady . Curvature feels good on my eyes, and while I have to move my head a wee bit, you can minimize any open window to a size that fits your individual preferences. The definition on this device is better than I’ve seen, even in the stores. Try a spreadsheet that has a lot of cells - its wonderful. Also, it’s great to have two, three and more windows open and see each easily. Now, there are a lot of curved monitors out there, most more expensive than this Samsung, but I trust Samsung as Ive used their printers and TV screens for years with few if any issues. I resized the icons that were appropriate sizes for may last computer, to a larger size - the proportional fit is perfect. I don’t do gaming but I can promise you that this monitor will be great for gaming, looking at Google Earth, watching nature productions and similar “shows”. There is a USB port in the rear of the monitor. Cons: Like other monitors of this size and price, the monitor does not raise or lower. It compensates for your particular need by tilt up and down. All-in-all, it works for my average size. The size of the monitor is almost too large for me. I do need to turn my head to view the monitor from edge top edge, but as I said above, that’s easily resolved by resizing any open window. So, final message is, buy this monitor for your desktop needs – it’s really great.

First off, Id like to say I got this for about 400 dollars hence why I am calling it a budget ultrawide monitor. Great monitor for the price I got it for though. While it does have noticable motion blur like almost any other VA panel at this price range, it isnt terrible. The ultrawide experience though is something else. If you can get this thing for 450 or under, buy it. Trust me ultrawide monitors are a completely different field compared to standard monitors, even if this isnt as large as a g9, it is still beautiful with its curve and feel, youll never want to l go back to a regular monitor after this.

Screen is great but the pictures showed a curved screen. This screen isnt in the slightest curved. Aside of that the screen looks stunning, might need to adjust the settings a bit as it might be a bit on the darker side but once you do some adjusting, its amazing

It is a great monitor, and the price was pretty good. My older son has a larger monitor, which I like a lot better, but it was quite a bit more expensive. Overall, it is a good value.

Pros: 1440p 144hz (can be overlooked to 165hz), HDR10 confirmed, picture looks awesome, Display Port 1.4, HDMI 2.0, single knob menu selection key, sturdy stand, curved for immersion, cable clip at the back for easy cable management, free sync and gsync, snappy 1ms response times, angled power cord and brick adapter, slim bezels. Cons: (these are from my monitor only) One dead pixel, Shows blue when playing content, or games. Very large for my desk space, it fits fine, but its very bulky. Less than 3 display inputs, would be nice to have more, driver support is terrible, I cant remove the driver without wiping my boot drive, I believe I got mine used, when I bought it for $300 or got sent back because the packing was reused and wrapped back up in painting tape, missing a display port cable, (said it would come with one), headphone jack doesnt work, monitor does not tilt at any angle, only one. Overall: This Samsung Odyssey G5 is great for gaming, HDR works well, it is easily recognized by Xbox One and PlayStation 4, 1440p quality! Im still debating whether or not Im going to return it from all of the defects but its working for now and Im able to return it on the 31st of January 2021. (Bought as of October 31) for now I can use it, I do believe that this is 99% RGB color accurate. And it looks AWESOME!!! Samsung Dex Works awesome since I have a Samsung device. I would recommend this monitor for price, proformance, and value!

I love this monitor. Works perfect. Graphics looks good. I wish there was a remote because I’m use to tvs but other than that. When I turn on my Xbox series X it turns on. And runs 4K at 60fps or 1440p at 120 fps. I always run the higher frame rate. This is my first monitor and I don’t think I could’ve gotten a better one. The curve isn’t necessary tbh. But I like it. It looks really unique with whatever setup you have. I’ve moved the monitor to my friends house a couple of times too so it’s definitely durable.

Got this one on Prime Day. I didnt have any room to set it up where I was, and was planning on moving. Took me over a month to move, finally did, and hooked up the monitor. its a HUGE size, even coming from a 27, still a huge step up in size. For a TV, small, but for gaming on a PC its massive. But I love it. The curved screen is a little easy to lose your cursor at times, but Im sure Ill get used to it. After running for a couple hours, a band of about 3 worth of lines appeared on screen, and wouldnt go away. Happened in both inputs and when there was nothing plugged into the monitor except power. And it was past the return date for Amazon so I had to deal with Samsung repair. Was an easy enough process, they even sent me a UPS return label to print to send it back 2nd day air. They did keep it over a week though, and I think they actually repaired the same monitor and sent it back. Wasnt a reconditioned unit off the shelf. At least it was the same box I sent it in. All works well, and I really wish it was brighter, I have it set to full brightness and almost full contrast, and there are still some darker/muddy area when watching movies or playing some games. Im sure if I mess with more settings I can improve it some, but mostly ok. The response time is fine, the 2k resolution is awesome, and my poor lil rx 570 can push this many pixels just fine. A lot of games make it work really hard, and have had to turn some settings down. When playing in 1680x1050, I could have a lot of games on Ultra, and some in 1080. But popping the monitor on to its full 2560x1440 it dropped frames to about 8-10. Had to go down a couple notches to Very High on most games to get playable again. Better video cards will handle better, but with prices the way they are, Im happy with this for now.

Overall great monitor, good price (I paid $345 if youre patient youll get it at this price), 1440P, 144Hz, not too heavy, curve isnt that bad once you get used to it but it will feel strange for a while. My only gripe is one single dead pixel, which honestly sucks but isnt the end of the world in a 1440P monitor where pixels feel so small however on solid color screens (especially white) I can always find it (because I know its there) other people may not even notice it honestly. Not worth taking off a star over one dead pixel (Screen is 6 months old now) overall happy with the monitor for the price I paid.

When it comes to gamer performance, the slightest disadvantage can be the difference between winning and losing a match. With a 165Hz refresh rate, lightning fast 1ms (GTG) response time and AMD FreeSync Premium support, you can be sure that the Odyssey G55A Gaming Monitor won’t let you down on the battlefield. Awe-inspiring graphics with HDR10 uncover the secrets hiding in the shadows with deep dark blacks, luminous whites, and outstandingly detailed resolution. WQHD packs in 1.7x pixel density of Full HD for detailed, pin-sharp, lifelike images. The monitor’s futuristic design looks attractive in any desktop setting.
