I absolutely love this monitor. I use it for both home & work. My employer gave me 2 clunky screens that I now use as accessory screens instead. The 34 inch Samsung is wide enough where I can split my documents in 2 down the center and see everything side by side vs. having 2 separate screens that I have to constantly toggle documents back and forth from. It has both a HDMI & display port input that makes it easy to switch between my work laptop & home laptop.

This monitor was a good choice for me because I use it mostly for gaming and it is in a good price range between capable and reasonably priced. The packaging was nice, the monitor looks amazing, and the picture quality for what I paid for is amazing. This monitor has a good picture quality for 1440p, so make sure to remember it is not a 4k monitor so it wont have a lot of depth if thats what youre looking for. I got it up to 144 hertz and it is really smooth and responsive, and the features that it comes with such as FreeSync support and G-SYNC compatibility have worked very well and they have been very helpful to me. Note to others users if you are thinking of purchasing this: to get the full capability of this monitor buy a display port cable and a nice one. I got a display port cable that was capable of handling 144 hertz at 1440p because they only ship it with a stock HDMI cable. Overall a good monitor with a comfortable curve angle, a high refresh rate, and decent picture quality for a pretty decent price. No regrets with my purchase here, but make sure you familiarize yourself with the stats of this monitor before buying it and do some research to make sure it is what you need.

I spent a lot of time looking at monitors and after owning a few various IPS monitors, I made the switch to this VA panel, figuring it would be sufficient for my needs. While I can understand how this is quite a beaut for looking, it lacks horribly when in motion (i.e. for a FPS). The smearing is worse than a 3-year-old painting class. I figured it would be ideal for my needs due to work from home but due to some involvement with coding, I am required to read a lot and look at things on the fly. This monitor doesnt fit the bill for my needs on this either. I can agree this thing rocks in its own right, it doesnt fit my needs for a nearly $400.00 monitor. I game on all kinds of games from FPS to MMOs and will be switching to a similarly priced monitor that IS indeed an IPS. Beware of the blur, be sure to check into VA Panels, IPS, TN, etc, and understand the Pros and Cons before committing!

This monitor is fine, i just gotta figure out how to configure the colors more precicely. The only thing is, when you turn off the PC the monitor makes very high pitched two tone sound. It is unlikely many will hear this sound, you would only hear it if you were in complete silence like late at night. I guess its the standby tone listening for input signal for when the PC turn on. Its not annoying, but it is there if your hearing lets you hear things in that range.

Step aside, old monitors, theres a new sheriff in town! This monitor is a breeze to install and looks sharper than a samurai sword. With both HDMI and Lightning ports, youll be able to hook up all your video devices. Gaming has never been easier on the eyes with a refresh rate of 165hz, and the best part? It wont cost you an arm and a leg. Get ready to upgrade your viewing experience!

While I was VERY skeptical that a 27 gaming monitor did NOT come in a flat model, I was delighted to see that the curve was not as exaggerated as what Id pictured in my mind - typically you dont want to see curved models in under 30 models (I tried to select flat on the options and crossed my fingers it might come flat, but no). However, this turned out a great choice, my son loves it with his PS5 accompanied with some SEPERATE led back lights I got him, since he likes playing in the dark, and I dont like the strain on his eyes. So far, so good.

To start, I should say I got this monitor on sale for $294 dollars on the prime day sale and that is where I am basing my value of the Samsung G5 32 monitor. I saw many reviews as I went to purchase the G5 about ghosting and dead pixels and was pointed to much more expensive monitors that would not have this issue. While I can state that there is a little bit of ghosting, it is certainly not something you will ever notice in a game unless you are really trying to. In regards to dead pixels, I so far do not have any on either of the two monitors that I purchased. Now onto the curve. I was at first worried about the curve as I had only had flat screen monitors up until this point, and I can say I adjusted to the 1000R curve in a matter of minutes. It is noticeable when you are browsing the web, however, I have never received a headache from this. This is just my experience, however, I believe people who are used to curved monitors will have an even easier time adjusting to this. I have already noticed that games feel more immersive with this size monitor paired with the curve, but I do think this curve might be too much for the 27. At full price this monitor does have some competition that people should really look at before making their decision, which includes the big brother G7 Odyssey, I believe that the Samsung G5 Odyssey, with its full feature set of 144hz, 1ms response time, and 32 1000r display will fit most peoples realistic needs as very few games will ever run at 240 fps and with HDR being in its infancy that more expensive monitors offer.

I liked the monitor. The screen was cracked when I received it. It had nothing to do with the company. It is a great company. It had to do with the shipping. I guess the shipping associates were rough with the package and just threw it around or something, so I had to return it. I cant really comment on the quality of the screen or picture because I didnt get a chance to see/use it. I did, however, hear that it is great for gaming.

Perfect for gaming. The deep curve and 165 Hz are the two biggest benefits for me. Games look crisp, and I can now see details that I never noticed before. You will want a decent video card to drive this monitor to its full potential. I use an RTX 3060 Ti and it works great.

When it comes to gamer performance, the slightest disadvantage can be the difference between winning and losing a match. With a 165Hz refresh rate, lightning fast 1ms (GTG) response time and AMD FreeSync Premium support, you can be sure that the Odyssey G55A Gaming Monitor won’t let you down on the battlefield. Awe-inspiring graphics with HDR10 uncover the secrets hiding in the shadows with deep dark blacks, luminous whites, and outstandingly detailed resolution. WQHD packs in 1.7x pixel density of Full HD for detailed, pin-sharp, lifelike images. The monitor’s futuristic design looks attractive in any desktop setting.
