20-11-2024We bought a new house and I decided to upgrade my office with some new monitors unfortunately it took us a few months to get in the house so I didnt get to my new monitors immediately. The boxes that they came in, I bought 2, were in good shape no damage and one of the two monitors is as it is intended and is of really good quality, unfortunately I didnt unbox these immediately and I left them in their box and today when I open them and plug them in one is of great quality the other is broken and has half of the screen blanked out so in your due diligence when you order something from these people make sure that you open it immediately and make sure that the product is not broken cause I am out $379 because its past my window of return. But other than the broken monitor the other monitor that I got works great. Just wish I had two of them it would have been really cool.

> 3 dayTalk about a great monitor. I was skeptical about the curve but it works really well with 32inchs. Great blacks. Decent colors. Minimal light bleed. Hdr colors are correct, I do think its only hdr400 thought so you are losing some detail are arent going to get the full feature of hdr. But thankfully its not washed out. I do have some nitpics. Settings are shared between ports and between the hdr settings. This mainly comes into effect when I use Hdr on my ps4. Normally, the black level would be normal, except for hdr which needs the low setting. Its kind of a pain to remember to switch between the 2 but its not a deal breaker. Another nitpick is that this monitor doesnt accept 4k resolutions. So if you are expecting to plug in a ps4 pro and expect to use that, this isnt the right monitor for you. I guess it doesnt recognize the hdmi2.0 output, or perhaps the firmware is preventing it. Which is a shame because previously I had an lg 32in 2k monitor that could accept a 4k signal and display it. And a Dell 1080p monitor that would accept a 4k signal. The only reason these are nitpicks is because there could probably be fixed with a firmware update if samsung bothers to. Update: After using this monitor for awhile I have decided to return it. A few reasons: 1: the fact it was only 1440p was becoming obvious. The grain of the monitor come into focus alot more than the actual image 1.5: Its not 4k. Kind of nitpicky, but hear me out. I used this monitor for more than just pc gaming. I used it for everything. And the problem became that I could use features on the ps4 pro that I own. God of war, ghost of tsushima all looked blurry because it locks you out of using 4k. Which make sense. Its a 1440p monitor. The problem become that ps5 doesnt offer a 1440p option. Only 1080 then 4k. So youre stuck on this resolution that isnt scaling up well. On the xbox one X, the fact that its stuck on 1440p means that I couldnt use the HDR feature because HDR is only available in 4K. So all my 4k HDR blurays had their functionality stripped from them when they should have worked. 2: the brightness. It was far too dark for my taste. The only way I could get the screen bright enough was to turn off every other light in the room 3: the color accuracy. Perhaps this and a few others could be fixed on the g7 model, but the color accuracy is bad. No saturation control. And everything on normal color balance has a green tint to it that became distracting if I played something on another screen. Especially one of my older one that was profesionally calibrated. But perhaps thats being a bit unfair Now if one day, they decide to make a 4k version of the Odyssey series. Id fully recommend a buy. I really got addicted to the curve of the monitor to the point that flat monitors look weird even after a few weeks later. But until then. Hold on to your money.

> 3 dayLets talk pros and cons of this monitor. I am coming off a 1080p curved display from MSI. Also 144hz and 1 ms response. The 1440p is a huge step up in my option but is lacking some key features. PROS: The 1000r curve is great! Really immersive game play and a noticeable difference from 1800r curve. People coming from a 1500r curve may not notice a huge difference. - 1440p display - 144 hz - 1ms response time - HDR 600 (NOTE Its NOT HDR 10 like advertised. This has a peak brightness of 600 nits) - VA panel provides nice contrast over TN panel - Great Price point! CONS: Switching between HDMI and Display port has been a pain. The monitor has trouble switching over correctly and has forced me to manual switch it numerous time by the mini joystick underneath. I run my PC Display Port and my Xbox thru HDMI - Display Port is 1.2 not 1.4 This is fine for gaming at 1440p @ 144fps but does not have the bandwidth to properly due HDR content. HDR is not perfect with this monitor and seems to work better in HDMI -Not G-Sync compatible but does have AMD Freesync Premium -Stand has no height adjustment. Only pivots on the angle -No RGB lighting like its bigger brothers the G7 and G9 (Not a deal breaker at this price point) Side Note: To achieve a TRUE 1ms response time the monitor needs to be set to the FASTEST setting. Problem with this is I noticed is washed out colors and some ghosting and artifacting on some images. The 1ms response is Motion response and NOT pixel response like the G7. For best picture i recommend turning on AMD Freesync which will by default put the monitor to normal response. This will knock it down to 4ms but to the average consumer looks and plays great. CONCLUSION: All in all is a decent purchase and a great price point for what you get. I think most will be happy with this monitor. If you are a competitive gamer I would look else where. For the casual gamer who wants resolution over performance...this is a great purchase for the money

> 3 dayIf anyone was looking into getting a new monitor, whether it be for a first-time desktop user or a long-awaited upgrade, this is a perfect choice. But there are some important flaws that I would like to point out. First of which is the stand. It is not the type of monitor to have the ability to vertically adjust. You are only restricted to adjusting the angle on the x-axis. Second, the instructions are clear but lack a lot of important details. To my knowledge, it doesnt once say you have to change the refresh rate through its menu. I later found out there was a more advanced guide on google if you just search it up. Im only putting this here because of the inconvenience. The third and final is the amount of space this monitor takes up. I luckily have a very big workspace so I have no problems when it comes to finding space for this monitor. But, if you currently use a small desk something around the dimensions of 28 3/4x19 5/8 or close then you might want to invest in a monitor arm. The base for the monitor is unnecessarily long, so having a small desk can bring up slight annoyances. Those three flaws are the only problems Ive experienced so far. Thanks for listening to my TED Talk.

> 3 dayI didnt know what to expect because this would be my first curved monitor. I have to say, that once I put it in place, turned it on, and started using it I was impressed. It took me a few days to get used to it. It is different. But once I got to work, I work from home, and by the end of the day, it was good to go. For games like FO76 and FS2020...oh my gosh...perfect. For Word and Excell and searching the web, it is impressive. I usually get Samsung for my TVs so this was the first Samsung computer monitor. Samsung, in my experience, has always had a nice crystal, crisp coloring presentation. This one did not disappoint me. I am totally impressed with this monitor.

> 3 dayWhile I was VERY skeptical that a 27 gaming monitor did NOT come in a flat model, I was delighted to see that the curve was not as exaggerated as what Id pictured in my mind - typically you dont want to see curved models in under 30 models (I tried to select flat on the options and crossed my fingers it might come flat, but no). However, this turned out a great choice, my son loves it with his PS5 accompanied with some SEPERATE led back lights I got him, since he likes playing in the dark, and I dont like the strain on his eyes. So far, so good.

> 3 dayThis monitor was a good choice for me because I use it mostly for gaming and it is in a good price range between capable and reasonably priced. The packaging was nice, the monitor looks amazing, and the picture quality for what I paid for is amazing. This monitor has a good picture quality for 1440p, so make sure to remember it is not a 4k monitor so it wont have a lot of depth if thats what youre looking for. I got it up to 144 hertz and it is really smooth and responsive, and the features that it comes with such as FreeSync support and G-SYNC compatibility have worked very well and they have been very helpful to me. Note to others users if you are thinking of purchasing this: to get the full capability of this monitor buy a display port cable and a nice one. I got a display port cable that was capable of handling 144 hertz at 1440p because they only ship it with a stock HDMI cable. Overall a good monitor with a comfortable curve angle, a high refresh rate, and decent picture quality for a pretty decent price. No regrets with my purchase here, but make sure you familiarize yourself with the stats of this monitor before buying it and do some research to make sure it is what you need.
