> 3 dayWhere do I start? I guess Ill do bullet points. - (Be sure to use a fast enough cable to support the high refresh rate and resolution, I recommend DisplayPort 1.4 or higher or equivalent.) - The 1000R curve looks really nice, this is my first curved monitor and from what I read online this monitor has a really aggressive curve so I didnt know if I would like it, but I totally do. - The resolution is good, 3440x1440 is perfect for this size monitor everything looks crisp. - 165hz is just right for my needs, I have a 4080 and when I play Warzone my framerate hovers around 120-160fps when Im using high settings so I dont think Ill be needing a higher hertz monitor. - The monitor control knob at the bottom works well and is a lot better than having several buttons. - So far I havent noticed any dead pixels. - I went from a 3 monitor setup to this 1 monitor ultrawide so my desk would look cleaner. I was afraid I would lose multitasking advantages, but you can still enjoy multitasking by snapping windows to the left and right of the monitor and its big enough to comfortably do so. - I saw a few people complain over the build quality on how its plastic, but I have NO complains over how it feels. I also think plastic was the way to go in order to save weight as I do have it on a monitor arm. (I recommend the ErGear Single Monitor Mount Stand 13-39 Inches Gaming Monitor Arm its the one Im currently using and its great.) Im sure there are drawbacks to this monitor, however to my untrained eye the experience is great, also the price doesnt break the bank.

> 3 dayIve been searching for a curved 32 inch gaming monitor for quite some time now, and until recently, most options were priced out of my range. In particular, the Samsung Odyssey G7 seemed like my ideal holy grail monitor, but at holy grail pricing. So when Samsung released a pared-down version in this G5 recently, I took notice. The G5 takes the essentials of the G7 and drops the extras. You lose the quantum dots with true HDR 600 support, 240hz, lose the adjustable stand, the RGB, and the extra USB ports. That sounds like a lot to sacrifice...but what youre left with is a gaming monitor that is reduced down to its essentials, for under half the price. You still get 1440p, a low response time especially for a VA panel,144hz--which still is more than enough for most people--and the 1000R curve in a 32 inch monitor. Reading some of the reviews about ghosting, I was a little apprehensive as I have personal experience with VA panel ghosting and know what to look for, but out of the box and with a little setup, that apprehension is unfounded. When the monitor is set to 144hz with Freesync enabled, there is, to my peception, essentially zero perceptible VA overshoot over on BlurBusters. The little UFOs are as crisp as Ive seen on any other good 144hz panel. Theres none of the dark overshoot typical of VA panels present. The panel behaves more or less like its more expensive brother did at 144hz, where it had zero ghosting, and then the tiniest bit at 240, indicating to me that 144hz is this technologys current sweet spot. If I had to suspect, the issues other reviewers encountered might have to do with disabling Freesync and setting the monitors response rate to overdrive mode. I have yet to ever see a VA panel that DOESNT ghost in their overdrive setting; even the mighty G7 and G9 suffer from it. Its best avoided. Overdrive is necessary to reach the advertised 1ms response rate, and you get a drop to 2-3ms response times when you let the monitor manage itself, but thats still class-competitive and only perceptible to a professional-grade, hardcore gamer. And if youre one of those, why are you buying this panel? Setup was easy. My Nvidia drivers recognized the monitors capabilities right out of the box, setting the correct resolution and refresh rate and automatically enabling Freesync. The on screen controls are very easy to use, and it has some helpful features like crosshair overlays that I probably wont be taking advantage of...but theyre nice to have. If I have some criticisms about the monitor they would be that the stand does lack any real adjustability to it. Youre left with just a bit of tilt, though you do have a VESA mount to install your own mounting solution. Also, while the HDR looks supririsingly good in my testing, the lack of full Freesync Premium Pro means youre left choosing between HDR -or- Freesync, rather than using both simultaneously. I didnt buy this monitor for its HDR, but its something to note if thats a selling point to you. Finally, the elephant in the room: the curve. I personally like it quite a bit, but I come from a similarly-sized, less aggressively curved monitor, so I adjusted quickly. If youre coming from a flat panel, you may have issues with it. After while, I think most will come to appreciate the edges of the monitor being brought to the same distance from their eyes as the center in a monitor of this size. At the same time, I can understand its a dealbreaker for some. In the end youre left with a gaming monitor that has everything you need but very, very little extras. If I could knock half a star off for the not-quite-realized HDR support and stand, I would, but balancing it with the $370 MSRP and the fact I scored it for $295 on Prime day, I cant in good faith pull a full star from my rating. Once a product is that far removed from flagship monitors in price, you cant reasonably expect a full flagship experience. But to get the essence of that experience at this price is, to me, closer to a 5 stars than anything.

> 3 dayThis is an amazing monitor to use for gaming, art, and entertainment. It is life changing going from 60hz 1080p to going to 120hz 1440p. Seeing more frames and having a clearer resolution makes your reaction times in games like Valorant, CS:GO, DOOM Eternal, and other shooters much more faster after getting used to it of course. I also use this monitor as my primary monitor for using 3d modeling software such as Blender. Having a bigger screen means having a bigger workspace for the models and the effects. For other forms of digital art you have a larger canvas to look at. Lastly, for entertainment such as videos and movies, if the resolution of the media can go to 1440p it is great, if not, then 1080p is what you get. This is a great monitor for productivity, highly recommend for anyone for anything!

> 3 dayIve had this monitor for over a year now and I have not had an issue. Im actually only writing this review because Im about to purchase another one. I have to say though, I chose the Flat style and not Curved however the monitor that I received is curved. I see now that it shows curved in the title, but under style selected shows Flat. Due to this, I received the wrong item but I chose to keep it anyway. Just beware.

> 3 dayThis monitor was a good choice for me because I use it mostly for gaming and it is in a good price range between capable and reasonably priced. The packaging was nice, the monitor looks amazing, and the picture quality for what I paid for is amazing. This monitor has a good picture quality for 1440p, so make sure to remember it is not a 4k monitor so it wont have a lot of depth if thats what youre looking for. I got it up to 144 hertz and it is really smooth and responsive, and the features that it comes with such as FreeSync support and G-SYNC compatibility have worked very well and they have been very helpful to me. Note to others users if you are thinking of purchasing this: to get the full capability of this monitor buy a display port cable and a nice one. I got a display port cable that was capable of handling 144 hertz at 1440p because they only ship it with a stock HDMI cable. Overall a good monitor with a comfortable curve angle, a high refresh rate, and decent picture quality for a pretty decent price. No regrets with my purchase here, but make sure you familiarize yourself with the stats of this monitor before buying it and do some research to make sure it is what you need.

> 3 dayNoticed crescent shaped defect out of the box. I didnt notice the 2 dead pixels until a contrasting color was on screen. Im very disappointed with this mainly because this is my SECOND samsung monitor with a manufacturer defect AND dead pixels. I also recently purchased a samsung G7 32 inch (the much nicer and MORE EXPENSIVE model) and it had a line in the screen and a dead pixel. Im very disappointed in the QC with these orders.

> 3 dayThis thing is pretty cool. I play games on it and do 3D design things with it. Works great and quick, very clear picture.

> 3 dayI love this monitor. Works perfect. Graphics looks good. I wish there was a remote because I’m use to tvs but other than that. When I turn on my Xbox series X it turns on. And runs 4K at 60fps or 1440p at 120 fps. I always run the higher frame rate. This is my first monitor and I don’t think I could’ve gotten a better one. The curve isn’t necessary tbh. But I like it. It looks really unique with whatever setup you have. I’ve moved the monitor to my friends house a couple of times too so it’s definitely durable.

> 3 dayFirstly, I am a casual gamer (less than 10 hours a week) and use my pc for various tasks besides gaming. Overall I am very pleased with this monitor. I was looking for an ultrawide to better take advantage of multitasking and this has been great for my productivity. The 1000R curve is impressive and sets this monitor apart from other curved ultrawides. The curve is a bit overwhelming at first and can distort documents, however, once you get used to it, it is very nice. Panel quality is as expected for the price, overall I am pleased. Dont expect the most color accurate, brightest, or premium panel here. Some calibration will be needed as expected out of the box. Brightness is fine and the monior can be used in a moderately bright room. There were no defects with the monitor I received. The biggest downside is the cheap stand. It is serviceable, however, there is no adjustment available and is quite wobbly. Use of a Vesa mount is advised. The biggest problem I have is not with the monitor itself, but with the particular items sent to me. I ordered two of these (for myself and my wife) however, one of the monitors was incorrect (a Gigabyte brand ultrawide). Overall, for the price paid, I am satisfied with my purchase.

> 3 dayI really enjoy the monitor itself, however the manufactures made big mistake with original stand is glaring. Along with the purchase of this monitor I also bought a swing arm mount to use instead on the original stand. I first assembled the monitor and validated that it was working. See that everything was working i removed the original stem and legs and I then mounted it on the new swing arm.. At this point the monitor would no longer turn on. I contacted vendor support via chat to troubleshoot (which was limited to the basics of is it plugged in, didnt you use the right button, etc..) After unsuccessful chat, I requested an exchanged, which Amazon getting high marks for. Upon reciept of replacement, to my surprise, this one doesnt come on either. I decided too try a hunch and was amazed and dishearten to find that the original stands stem has to be attached!!! This is total nonsense!! Its looks like crap! I had expected more from Samsung!
