VERY fast. Windows 8.1 and 10 didnt need to install separate drivers, it handled it all by itself! My boot time is about 5 seconds now with windows 10, including POST.

Great product always been a big fan of Samsung for years . I needed speed for my 2009 mac pro desktop in my recording studio . i do have a u2015 Macbook Pro laptop just needed that extra boost for the Applications on the desktop now its 3 times as fast .

I am upgrading for a 120GB SSD that I used as my main drive for my desktop computer. Ive already had a taste for the speed of an SSD, I just couldnt really store much on it so I was in the business of getting a new, bigger drive. The Samsung EVO series is definitely the route to go. I purchased the 500GB version and absolutely love it. Plus side: Apps, games, startup time, anything loads in a breeze. Microsoft doesnt have to wait long at all Easy to install and sleek looking The Samsung SSD Utility is actually pretty helpful. I like the software a lot The bad: Nothing so far. I wish I bought the 1TB version but thats for a different day I 100% recommend getting the Samsung EVO drive it will change your life!

It is wondrous to experience how fast a PC becomes when running the OS and applications off an SSD, as opposed to a traditional mechanical drive. When last I looked at these devices, the storage was laughable and the price ridiculous. Now they are priced to appeal to a broader audience, and are pushing deep into mainstream computing. Theyre still expensive when you pause to consider that you could get a 4 TB mechanical drive for the same price. However, the speed is something to behold, and its not just boot times that are affected—although that will be one of the more obvious benefits first observed. Any application running off an SSD will perform faster. I was impressed enough to buy two for my last build. The Samsung drives are highly regarded, with outstanding test performance.

Soooo fast, so easy to install. Ive used the 840s and 850s and both are super fast. Breathes new life into an older PC with amazing performance. Highly recommend!!

I installed two of these into my main pc in a raid 0 array. They have reduced load times by 1/2 or better for most applications. I will update if my experience changes but so far I am most pleased.

when i ordered this drive i was looking for something fast and i got more than i asked for. on bench marking the drive it exceeded 500 meg a second transfer speeds. I use this on my gaming rig and want to upgrade other systems with this drive. love the price on it too

bought this to house my steam, battlenet, and origin librarys, and its serving me well. no stutters, no slow moments, and when im downloading a new game i can take advantage of the full bandwidth capacity of my internet. before, i was being bottlenecked by the speed of my harddrive, and now im getting roughly 5x the speed on the ssd.
