So far...great product. Installed about a month ago. Used this Samsung SSD drive along with a StarTec USB 3.0 to 2.5 SATA III adapter to upgrade my daughters MacBook Pro which had a 250GB drive. Significant speed increase during boot up and opening applications. Of course, doubling the hard drive capacity was the main reason for the upgrade. Highly recommend.

Used this to replace the old hard disk drive in my computer. Its been working great. Was an ease to install the operating system.

This is exactly what I needed to get my desktop in tip-top-shape. Transferring the files was easy, although I did have to order the transfer cable.

PROS: Packaging was okay - SSD arrived in good working condition. CONS: The very first thing I noticed after install was that this drive was advertised as 500GB. It might just be the drive that I received, but I only get a total of 464GB. I own several other brands of 500GB solid state drives and none rob me of 36GB. I understand that no drive currently on the market wont have the exact storage space advertised, but to drop from 500GB to 464GB hurts my feelings. And yes, this total space includes hidden partitions. Additionally, the normal operating temperature for this SSD hovers at 167F... This concerned me enough relocate it to my 3.5 drive bays that are blasted by 2 case fans. OVERALL: Aside from the storage gap and hot temperature, I am still happy for the price I paid. I rate this SSD a 5 Star...but its actually a 4 Star.

What can I say but Samsung EVOs are king when it comes to SSD, very fast, reliable, very well made, and high quality. Easy and straight forward to install even for people that dont know what they are doing Samsung as a support center that is top-notch that is extremely helpful.

I was surprised just how much this sped up my boot and shutdown time. Roughly 1min 42 sec to boot before and about 36 seconds after. Easy install the Samsung migration tool was simple to use. Just follow the directions. System seems more stable now also. Was having issues with freezing up or just running really slow. Im very happy with this purchase.

Very pleased with this SSD. Even though my computer only supports SATA 3Gb/s this drive has made everyday tasks on the computer a lot snappier. It boots up in almost half the time now and is virtually silent. As a side note, for users interested in the Rapid Mode feature inside of Samsung Magician, the current version 4.7 is incompatible with Windows 10.

Thought my computer had a virus or something but wanted to see if it was the HDD. Installed and got my computer on in a third of the time. Everything is just faster, sooo much faster than my HDD. Surprised by the speed and will never consider a HDD again.

If your contemplating weather you should upgrade or buy a new laptop, this SSD is like having a new laptop
