> 3 dayCant go wrong with a couple of these. They are so much faster than hard drives, and they are very reliable. No fails yet. it was about 3-4 years ago I got my first Evo. They just keeping lower in price and larger in capacity. I wish the industry standard was to report the capacities after formatting. But still, these are awesome to use.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

> 3 dayWorked exactly as expected. I bought two of them on sale for two computers and had no problems at all. I stick with Samsung drives as I am yet to have a SSD fail from them.

> 3 daythis is an awesome balance of performance and budget. The 850 Pro series is faster but its quite a bit more expensive. I think this product is the sweet spot of performance without being too expensive. I was upgrading my system from a 240Gb SSD b/c it got full and just needed more room. The 840 series was a great product and so far the 850 series is as well

> 3 dayThis is my 2nd SSD purchase (first was the Kingston 240GB). I opted for the Samsung because the 480GB Kingston was more expensive. I have to say that, so far, Im very pleased with this purchase. One thing you will need to do, is update the cloning/magician software that comes on the disc. Its a few versions behind. Overall, the drive is fast, quiet, and Windows boots up in 4-5 seconds...no more waiting from programs load, just straight to the desktop. I love it!

> 3 dayFor me, this was the magic answer to a painfully slow, old Mac. I am not an IT person and have average computer knowledge, but replacing my old magnetic hard drive with this puppy was pretty simple. Just be sure you have the correct tools (my old iPhone batter change kist had everything I needed). I did have to deduce a few steps from online instructions, based on slight differences in newer Disk Utility menus - but really its fairly intuitive. Installing this drive on my 6-year-old Mac made it feel new again, and it saved me the cost of a new computer.

Greater than one weekMy Q6600 dates back to 2008 originally running Vista and upgraded to W10. This does not come with a SATA to USB cable, only the sofware and hard drive. I have a SATA/IDE to USB connector. My W10 system could see the drive, but for some reason, the Samsung software could never find the drive. I direct connected this to my motheroboard SATA port 2 (boot drive to SATA port 1) and finally the Samsung software found the drive. I had 640 GB HD partitioned into 140 GB and 500 GB boot partitions. Had 426GB in the 500GB partition. The Samsung software would not allow me to clone my 426GB into this 500GB SSD and forced me to delete files before cloning. I brought it down to 326GB and the Samsung software would finally clone my boot drive to this SSD. Booting time using SSD is 20 seconds compared to 1-2 minute using my HD. Load speeds are faster, but theres only so much that can be done to speed up a 9 year old computer.

> 3 dayWorked flawlessly on a Macbook 2010 model, and its amazing how much more enjoyable SSD makes the computing experience. If youre using these on Macs though, Trim Enabler is a must.

> 3 dayThis was an excellent addition to my PS4. Took witcher 3 fast travel from a painful experience to about 3 seconds. There are lots of other small improvements but nothing was as dramatic as the fast travel issue. The garbage collection that this drive has does work, so it doesnt slow down even though the PS4 lacks trim support. You can actually watch it change in your storage management screen as the drive is powered and its internal tools go to work. Time will tell if it does ultimately slow due to lack of trim, but it is easy enough to format it in a pc and start over so not a big problem...
