I got this to upgrade the storage in my original model PS4 that was slow and out of space for digital games purchased through the Playstation Store. I was able to physically swap this into the console in place of the original HDD and reload system firmware in less than an hour. The actual install of the SSD takes roughly 5-10 mins with nothing more than a small Phillips head screwdriver. The rest of the time is waiting for the OS to reinstall. This is noticeably faster than the old HDD, though not by a jaw-dropping amount. For example, a digital copy of Far Cry 5 installed on the SSD loaded my save file in about 30% less time than the same game running on the old HDD. It is also much quieter due to not having moving parts, which is nice too. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase.

it is small and can be installed on the back of case. Even I have to remove the 3.5 hard disk bay, I can still find a position to install it.

I went out and got the correct cables and my laptop won’t recognize it. I brought it to my IT person and they said something is wrong with the hard drive, can’t use it. Have never been able to use it. Total waste of money.

Installed easily. Need to change the SATA port, since its not on the SATA 3 port of my motherboard. Then it should be even faster. Too bad my computer is so old that it wont support Windows 11, but thats another story... Same software being loaded, and I get a working computer about 20 seconds after restarting. With the old hard drive, it took 13 minutes to get to the same place. 20 minutes if I didnt have ReadyBoost turned on with 32GB of flash drive. I hardly ever rebooted unless I absolutely had to. Now, I dont even think about it.

This drive failed to properly copy over all the data from my oldest PC, using the bundled software. So I put it on my second-oldest one and it worked first try. The performance increase is definitely worth it.

I replaced an older failing hard drive and the software made it very easy to duplicate the old drive and get up and running in just a few minutes. Everything transferred over and the PC booted up right away. Our PC runs faster and is quieter now. Would buy again.
