Replaced a drive in an old Vista era laptop that was starting to fail. Fortunately was able to still install the Samsung software on Windows 7 and clone to the new drive with an external SATA to usb adapter.

Perfect capacity for game library.

First one did not work, return was super easy and second one worked. Arrived in days. No complaints.

My pc loads up a lot faster and game load times are much better. #ssdgang. However, it does not come with the necessary screws to install it on your case, something to watch out for.

This SSD works very well. I have it connected via USB. Has not failed after 2 years like others Ive had.

Replaced the very slow hard drive in an HP Envoy in 30 minutes (from cloning to installation). The improvement was dramatic. This is the fifth time Ive resur​rect​ed a slow or dying laptop for a family member with a Samsung SSD. Great product and inexpensive.

Have an older computer, boot times and load times were getting long, my boot time now is seconds from power on to ready to use, worth every penny

I have used Samsung SATA SSDs on a number of installs to upgrade desktop and laptop drives. Each install has gone off without a hitch, primarily due to the transfer software. While not as fast as M.2 drives, it is not noticeable to the average user. Until the gap in price narrows between SATA and PCIE M.2, this drive is a good value. Samsung SSDs command a premium price for a reason: performance, reliability and better than average software.

Spontaneous and complete failure. Randomly one day on startup my bios told me that failure was imminent. I then tried to access the drive to no avail. Now, its my fault for not having a recent backup, but that a two year old drive should fail so spectacularly is disgusting.

Great product, big space, excellent speed! Working perfectly so far. Definitely 5 stars!
