This was a gift for my brother whos PS4 seemed to have fallen ill in this pandemic, freezing, lagging...performing poorly. Tried this after another one didnt work. This was easy to install and worked perfectly. I dont think hes stopped playing call of duty since Christmas eve.

Function and price.

I used this to replace a slow conventional mechanical HDD of the same capacity on a laptop computer. This made all the difference. I love the speed of SSD. Even though I maxd out the RAM at 8GB, the SSD provides extra performance to make up for the RAM limitation. Laptop boots up faster and response time for installed applications are faster.

Installing is no problem if you are mechanically inclined. Snapped right into place after removing what was needed to be removed. Google how to install. Used Samsung cloning software and then Samsung magician. Up and zooming. Very happy and pleased.

Very confusing about the original of this product.

Dell laptop came with a 5400rpm 1tb drive.

Bought to replace old slow and loud 1TB hdd in 2015 HP Pavillion laptop. Tried using Samsung Migration and Magician for cloning drive with no luck. 6hrs of cloning, 99% completion then ran an error, twice. 12 hrs later I defragmented, shrunk partition and ran skndsk /f /r on old hdd. Then used Macrium Reflect to clone with great success. Works great, works fast. Would recommend, just stay away from the Samsung Software.
