Would have given this five stars, but when I installed this SSD on my computer for some reason available free space was only 930 I believe which left me wondering what happened to the other 70 gb? But overall as far as usage speed its doing good. Using it mainly for gaming.

Definitely a good storage upgrade and easy to install

I bought this because the HD on my laptop was running out of space. My laptop is a few years old and uses the SATA connection for the HD. I was able to switch it over to the new SATA SSD with more space (and quicker read times) in an afternoon. Here are the steps I used.

Very useful product, work fine

I used this to replace the drive from my laptop and now my laptop is SUPER-FAST!!

Previously hard drives were ready to use. Now they have to be installed using device manager to format and use the drive. This is not stated by the manufacturer.

This SSD may be a defective one. Ive experienced freezes when booting (no smoking symbol = cant find SSD with OSX 12.1) as well as sudden mouse and keyboard freezes while working in Word, Chrome, etc. Once I am totally sure it is defective, I will resort to backup disks and return. (SSDs that are larger than 1TB tend to be dicey.)

2tb is enough for common use. for users who have no m.2 nvme slot on their laptop, this will be the best option with good price.
