Samsung 960 EVO Series - 250GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V6E250BW)

This is a fantastic replacement drive for the Intel NVMe SSD I had in my laptop previous. It stays cooler and has faster speeds.

Maybe I got a dud but mine failed in the middle of gaming after three weeks. Luckily I was within the Amazon return window but Im very hesitant to get another.

Very fast drive, seems reliable after several months. No problems to report. Samsungs software is nice too.

I had this for a month now and its like having a whole new pc I only use it as a boot drive with only windows 10 installed. Turns on faster, Shuts down faster, restart faster, I got 197GB of 250GB left, it also installs windows updates faster, but not download that depends on your network speeds. but overall it was worth it. I run it with a 2TB HDD for data drive. on my custom gaming PC. I Kind of wish I have gotten something bigger like 500gb or something to be on the safe side but I do believe I have enough space.

Wicked fast. Windows 10 Instant Boot is possible, and the sleep option is now obsolete.

I already had a fast gaming laptop, with 30 sec boot times, but with this as my primary I do a full boot in 15-17 seconds. Very fast for everything Ive thrown at it

PROS: • Shockingly fast, boots up my Windows 10 laptop in under 10 seconds • Power-on, restart, reboot, & shutdown lightning fast in comparison to the Seagate 5400 RPM SATA drive that was installed with the laptop • Applications installations and launches much faster, making the user experience much more enjoyable • Easy to install into a compatible M.2 PCIe NVMe slot • Well-priced for the phenomenal speed • No messy cables to deal with, just one screw to hold it in place • Fair and adequate 3-year warranty • The functionality of a hard drive compressed in the size of a volatile stick of RAM, what more can you ask for? CONS: • Did not come with a screw to secure the drive (Im just being picky) You can see the comparison speed between the 960 EVO and the Seagate 5400 RPM SATA Drive in the last picture. Comparing this race to a rabbit and tortoise would be giving the Seagate too much credit. The Seagate is more like a SNAIL and the EVO is more like a CHEETAH! Just make sure your motherboard supports PCIe NVME M.2 before purchasing this as not all do.
