EXTREMELY fast! Ran some read/write tests and this is about 4 times faster than my old SATA SSD. Along with the Samsung Magician software it took probably 15 minutes to migrate the drive that I ran Windows from to this. Computer boots in about 10 seconds.

Popped it onto the mobo, did a speed test, hit the reported benchmarks of 3200 read and 1900 write. Super pleased by this card!

Great drive. Very easy to install and my MSI Z170a Gaming M7 recognized it right off the bat. I had a SSD fail and decided to replace with this beauty. Read and write speeds are insane and boot up takes no time at all. I do a lot of Photoshop editing with very large files and this thing is a beast but of course my overclocked i7 6700K doesnt hurt either. Would highly recommend and I just wish I had enough $$ to go for the 1 TB version. Oh well, sending my boys games to a new Samsung SSD which isnt too shabby either. For my next build, will I even have a spinning HD?

Cant really tell the performance boost it had given I dont do a lot of data transfers. I was expecting my bootup time do decrease dramatically but it probably only decreased by 1 second. the Samsung Evo 860 Pro I had previously as a boot option was plenty fast but I guess ill be keeping it anyways just as the boot drive.

I upgraded from a Samsung 850 EVO (SATA) to this 960 EVO NVMe and couldnt be happier. Speed jumped from 551.6 MB/s sequential read to 2981.7 MB/s (per CrystalDiskMark 6.0.0). Write speed went from 527.0 MB/s to 1581.1 MB/s. So, quite the speed jump. I dont particularly do any tasks that require this sort of heavy lifting, but as Ive built my computer, Ive tried to avoid going overly cheap with what I put in it. At the price (~$120) when I got this, Id say this is a great deal. The Samsung Data Migration tool worked like a charm as well. Very easy and painless process for the Samsung 960 EVO, from installation to cloning. Definitely recommend this product. **edit** Boot up time from pressing the power button to Windows was 30 seconds, including time to screw up my password. Not sure how people get faster times (in general), but this is good enough for me.

The drive is fast. Really fast. Samsung customer support is great, BUT...anyone out there planning on using this SSD with a motherboard that supports XMP and planning on overclocking, dont use this SSD. Ive spent hours troubleshooting and talking on the phone to find out that this SSD and XMP do NOT play well together. My system worked fine for about a week, then just started shutting off instantly after logging in. I first thought it was a Windows issue and reinstalled, but then got a BSoD at boot up saying FILE WINDOWSsystem32winload.exe could not be found. After speaking with Samsung about it, they said overclocking the ram with the SSD will screw it up. On the plus side, if you do not plan on overclocking or do not use XMP, it will be fine. Im going to have to decide if the speed of the SSD is more important than the POTENTIAL speed of my expensive RAM.

I love these M.2 SSDs. For the price, I thought it was worth running the OS on this and I had an additional slot so I added another to host all the apps. You lose SATA ports when these are active. They are fast! I am running them on an ASUS Maximus Hero IX with an i7 7700K cpu. Everything is quick. My boot up is fast!. My only complaint is that I didnt get the 500GB instead.
