> 3 dayOver 3,000MB/sec!! WOW! These are real-world speeds Im getting! I have 3x 1TB of these setup in a RAID-0 on my AsRock Z270 Taichi motherboard. Love, Love, Love these!!

> 3 dayHave this running at the max speed on a M.2 slot, However, just for some people to know, unless you are running high amounts of ram, and a really good cpu, this will not much benefit your computer as far as speed gos, besides maybe the boot time by very very little if you are already running a SSD. I was running my OS off a Samsung pro SSD before getting this, the boot time is so very little faster, that its hardly noticed, Game load time off this compared to a SSD, doesnt change either. I run 32 gigs of Vengeance ram and a 9590 CPU overclocked to 5.8 ghz, So if my system wont run faster with it as far as load times, most other budget builds, or even high end builds for that mater, wont notice much of a increase in speeds either. The good thing of this drive however, It is tiny. So if you got a M.2 slot and needing another drive in your pc, more storage or such, and dont have more HDD/SSD bays.. This is small enough you dont even notice it in your pc. but considering the price of these over SSD drives, Id suggesting just getting a samsun pro SSD drive, and you will be just fine with fast OS load times and game times depending how you setup your system.

> 3 dayIt was between this and the 960 Pro, and for the price to performance ratio, this was a no brainer. Very fast, but upgrading from a 950 pro, theres barely a real world difference. A tad bit faster boot time, and games load maybe 1 or 2 seconds faster. But Im still giving it 5 starts, because for what it is, and for the price, its a great deal.

21-11-2024Samsung 960 EVO Series - 250GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 In theory these PCIe NVMe SSDs rock. And initially the performance was great. However, the experience I had was that both drives ran for only around 8 weeks before failing. The support is a nightmare with a requirement to fill out multiple War and Peace documents, and multiple hurdles to finally get a replacement. When the first unit failed, I received a crappy refurbished unit. This is seriously UNACCEPTABLE. I barely got 3 months out of the SSD and it was dead causing all sorts of problems. THEN, to rub salt into the wound, when the SSD again FAILED within 3 months, I called their support and talked to Gil (Gill??) who said they would this time replace the unit with a new SSD. Im STILL waiting for the email with the approved return information weeks later with NO response to my follow up attempts. When the second SSD failed (which I used as the main boot drive), my backups unfortunately were corrupt, so lost a months worth of work - major disaster. If you value your data, and up-time is important to you as well as hassle free operation, this is NOT the SSD for you. Im extremely disappointed with Samsungs abysmal product quality and 5th rate support. While I loved the (brief) performance boost, the unreliability outweighs the benefits by a significant margin. Its just not worth it to have your primary system down and to lose key data. AVOID. UPDATE: Samsung finally responded, with the Support Manager no less. However the opening response (which happened ONLY AFTER Id posted this negative review) was to say Samsung routinely replaces failed SSDs with refurbished units after the first 90 days, and sent terms and conditions statements saying essentially too bad for all the data and time lost. Later, that failure rates for Samsung SSDs were around 1%. If this is so, then If the chance of failure is 1 in 100, then the probability is 1/100 X 1/100 = 1:10,000 probability that anyone would have two drives fail in short order like this. Youd think that if what they say is true, that theyd go out of their way to look after you if you are what they claim is a 1:10,000. But no, Im given the run around. There is no recognition of either the loss of data and time, or apology for TWO of these SSDs failing with around only 2 months lifespan for each (way less than the reasonably expected 3 years each). And cruel to initially give the impression youd receive a new SSD to replace the second failure, only to have this reversed. I hope others do not go through the incredibly disruptive and time consuming BS Ive had to with Samsung.

> 3 dayhad a weird issue where on the first boot up of a new build, this drive was not seen. I would chalk it up to something with the board though. Only time it has happened and that PC has experienced planned power cycles at least once a day with no further issue.

> 3 dayLet me start the review by saying that this product is not always going to be plug and play. If you cant get your PC to recognize it and dont know your way around your bios then be prepared to have some problems, but thats not an issue will the ssd. The only thing I wasnt happy about is that it didnt come with a motherboard screw nor did I easily read that I need to get one before I purchased the drive. All in all though... Once its up and running this drive is amazing.. Very fast! My computer is now in the top 99% on passmark score.

Greater than one weekFAST!!! Love it! On a side note, in order to install this as my primary drive and load windows on it, I had to literally unplug my other harddrives first and other sata devices before windows would accept this as the install drive. Once windows was loaded and installed, I was able to re-plug in my other drives and sata devices with no issues. Ive seen other reviews stating they had the same issue. I dont think this is specific to Samsung, but is something commonly encountered with all M2 drives.
