This is a great NVMe SSD. Boot times are significantly faster and programs and files load much faster too. 500GB is plenty of space to store the operating system and everything that I want to load quickly. IMO installing it is more simple than installing a SATA SSD or HDD because you dont have to deal with cables, you just plug it directly into the motherboard.

Very fast drive being used as a boot drive in my Windows 10, 8th gen Intel build. Cant beat the price versus performance.

Well my laptop went from full shutdown to desktop in about 3 seconds. Before with the stock HDD it was 15, so this SSD was amazing. Normally, even after booting to desktop, an HDD is still largely in use, but with the 960 EVO, I can boot into the desktop and start a program instantly. Amazing.

If you are coming from the 850 EVO you wont feel the difference. The benchmarks software will show that this is faster than the previous generation of SSD but in practical terms, you wont notice unless fractions of seconds in loading a program matters to you. Perhaps the video or photo editors who do work the whole day can notice the difference.

Ridiculously fast start times, easy install, highly recommend this product for anyone building a new computer.

SUPER FAST!!!! Great drive. Startup times are never more than 15 seconds with this thing. Ive been more than happy with it. I plan on buying another and running it in raid 0.

To use this drive as a primary may be limiting if youre a gamer. The size of games these days can eat up even a 1 TB drive quickly. Some folks add a second drive for install or file storage etc.. Otherwise, this drive is plenty quick and works well. Im writing this review almost two years into ownership. No drive related issues have been found. This is my first SSD however.
