> 3 dayWell, I looked and looked for my other usb stick and couldnt find it. Knew the office gremlin had taken it away and it somehow vanished. I received this unit that is blah, blah, blah great and such and when I was putting it on my USB hub I found the old one. Ahhhh.

> 3 dayI own a lot of these, havent ever ran into any trouble other than occupationally some of them overheat while doing large rights to them. I dont tend to stress them after I write things to them they tend to just sit around and get read after once in a while, which means read speed is the only thing that really matters to me, and they have pretty good read speed.

> 3 dayThere are a lot of variables that affect the read/write speed of this flash drive in any particular PC. Drivers, internal USB firmware, etc., etc. Nevertheless, after several months, Ive found that the drive is consistently much faster than any 2.0 flash drive and, in the latest model PC/laptops with SSD drives, the transfer speed can be very impressive. According to the file transfer utilities, I consistently see read speeds of 200MB/s and, depending on file size, write speeds up to 30MB/s. However, we are becoming spoiled with high speed networks and SSDs in our systems so, even with its faster speed, you might not think the performance is all that impressive. Just keep in mind that, for the money, youre not going to find a drive that is larger, faster, tougher or better designed for plugging and unplugging.

Greater than one weekThe usb looks amazing. But it got hot on use, really hot. I dropped it cause in my head I thought I was going to burn myself (not the case). I tested it a few times before deciding to return it. Waited 1 min 30 secs after use for it to cool to normal usb temp (no equipment used). Tested in 30 second intervals via touch. It looked amazing though. Thats what made me contemplate keeping it. It wasnt going to cause damage via burns and once you know it gets hot, the shock value goes away some.

> 3 dayI use my USB keys primarily for coping large files, so what matters to me is the actual verified Single thread performance such as if you are coping a very large .ISO or .MP4 file over. I use the H2testw utility as that writes & verifies a single thread as fast as it can go and doesnt allow for compression or other cheating. I did the full 32GB Capacity of the key This is very important as many reviewers only do benchmarks for a fraction of that and speeds vary (usually downwards) on a short burst at the beginning compared to sustained file copy. This one came in at 24.2 MBytes / Second write speed and 184 MBytes / Second Read speed.

> 3 dayI bought one 64GB and two 32GB Samsung BAR Plus USB drives. The 64GB stick came pre-formatted with exFat. The 32GB sticks came pre-formatted with Fat32. So they are ready to use immediately. Im pretty sure that if you wanted a different format (like NTSF) you could re-format them with whatever format you want (with your computer) although I havent done that. I do think they fit awfully tight into any USB 3 port I have used them in. Snug is good but I think this is overkill and it might even damage something in some cases. Thats the only complaint I have about them. On the Easy to use rating I only gave 3 stars because of this. Otherwise they seem really good. I like them overall.
