I almost never give anything a 5-star review, but this Samsung SSD deserves it. I have a 1-year-old Dell Inspiron 15 5559 that was unbearably sluggish -- to the point where I hated using it. It has a Core i7 processor but only 8GB of RAM, so I figured that increasing its memory would help out a little. But when I saw this Samsung SSD on sale for less money than it would cost me to buy 16GB of RAM, I decided to buy it.

I dont know why there is a battery life rating for this item since AFAIK it doesnt have one. Apart from that its been a very nice improvement to an eight year old laptop. Doubled the size of the disk--was 500GB, now 1TB and it boots up much faster and has no more moving parts--all in one well-priced purchase! Im happy. Now I want to get another one to add to my current laptop ;-)

Used this to replace a HDD in an iMac. Works like a charm. Boot times and ready to use times are impressive to say the least. Highly recommend this drive if you want a premium drive for everyday use especially for the drive your OS is on.

Works great for my recording studio! Handles everything I throw at it, highly recommend for iMac’s, MacBooks, PC’s, etc.

I bought this 2TB SSD for my Lenovo A940 to replace an 1TB HDD. My only concerns before swapping the two drives were: will this disrupt my OneDrive folders? And how will BitLocker affect my transition from the HDD to this new SSD.

I used the Samsung software along with a usb data cable to copy my previous drive over to this Samsung. It installed only in a matter of minutes once the copying was completed between the drivers. My computer boots up so much faster than when it had a traditional hard drive in it. If you are on the fence about spending the money, particularly if you have had your computer for a while, dont even question it. Just do it! I can honestly say its the best upgrade I have done to any of my computers in a long time. I am so happy with the results so far.

Samsung has a cloning software to download. It worked great. Only problem I had was when I installed the SSD the computer could not find the drive. It took six layers of electrical tape on the bottom of the SSD to make good contact with the pins. The new drive was thinner in height and needed to be built up. Other than that, it works great.

Im glad ssds have come so far. Samsung is leading the way, and Im glad I stuck with them for my solid drive. No issues installing, and seemless plug and play. I recommend, although M.2 drives are really where its at now.
