Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

So this is by far my favorite SSD. Very easy to setup, and my pc recognized it in BIOS immediately. Programs run and load quickly. I’ll be picking another one of these up soon.

I have purchased two of these devices, the first to replace a smaller Samsung SSD in my laptop and the second to replace the hard drive in an HP all in one computer. The cloning of my laptop went perfect with the Samsung software but the last one did not go so well. I tried multiple times to clone the hard drive but got unknown error from the Samsung software. I ended up cloning the drive to the smaller Samsung SSD that I had from my laptop upgrade and it worked although I was only able to clone a single partition due to the smaller size of the old SSD. Then I cloned the smaller SSD to the new Samsung SSD and it worked the first time.

I have 4 of these drives and they work great and are fast. Make sure to get a SATA cable when purchaseing, as one does not come with the drive. Also if your low on mounting screws pick a few as well.

Took me two days because i couldnt find a way to format, not sure if thats for all of them but after messing with the ssd for a while i found the problem. cloned it and installed it. Overall it works good and i am going to be ordering another one

I dont have a lot of words for this review. I had a smaller drive that my OS was on and it failed. I needed a new drive and though, let me upgrade the old pc with a new fangled SSD drive. I went for what my research said was the biggest, most reliable name of SSD maker. I spend the money for the 1tb drive and when I did the fresh OS install and it started up for the first time, it was light lightning speed that I couldnt have ever imagined with my old mechanical HD. this thing is so fast is frightening. I built this machine many years ago, and if you would have told me that by putting an SSD drive in as my OS/boot drive would give me incredible speed, boot up 2x as fast (if not faster), and be absolutely silent, I wouldnt have believed you. well, I am a believer. this product is the real deal and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to build or upgrade from their current old technology in HDs. you will breath new life into that old CPU for sure!

Product is good, easy to install and use but warranty issues make this a questionable purchase. Samsung makes it very difficult to register for warranty coverage. I purchased 3 Samsung SSD drives (2x1TB, 1x2TB) directly from Amazon and fulfilled by Amazon. The serial numbers validated as genuine Samsung products but the warranties show as expiring before the drives were even manufactured. You have to submit proof of purchase to get the warranty date reset and actually have coverage. I submitted the purchase invoice from Amazon with all three drives on the order. It was accepted for one of the 1TB drives, rejected for the 2TB drive and I got no response for the third drive (also 1TB). The Samsung website still shows the warranty as unknown or expired for all three drives.

Had it for a week or so, working great, its the first time I upgraded to SSD and I love the change.
