> 3 dayI needed two (ok. wanted) of these. One for a boot drive and one for metadata. They installed in a hot swap drive bay that fits in the old floppy drive bay. They work day in and day out. Easy to install.

> 3 dayEasy to install if you have a computer guy. He ordered it for me and cloned the old hard disk onto this one and it works just fine. I have had it for several weeks. What would I do without a computer guy?

> 3 dayGreat drive. Its very fast, but what really sets it apart is the Samsung migration software. Its easy to download from the Samsung website and easy to use. Other drives dont come with anything or require you to jump through hoops to register, get links, log in, download, and its so frustrating. This is my preferred if you are migrating your data over. If you arent, its still a great drive.

> 3 dayI just installed this in my mid-2012 MacBook Pro over the weekend. We use the 850 version in all our desktops at work for the last 3 years and they have been solid. The only drawback is the lack of software for Mac. No Migration or Magician available and updates to firmware seem to be a process as well. That would make this a 5-star review. I cloned my Apple stock HDD using Carbon Copy Cloner (it actually works very well and UI is straightforward to the new 860 EVO, installed and it worked as expected. I have not enabled Macs OE TRIM setting as I have read mixed reviews on how nicely it plays with 3rd party drives. I wish Samsung would make a Mac version of Magician as it is helpful to know the health and performance of the drive. As for functionality itself, it is very noticeably quicker than the HDD and everything loads incredibly fast. I would recommend this product without question to Windows users and with an asterisk for Mac users. Just do your homework so you know the features youll have access to.

> 3 dayUpgraded my brand new ASUS FX 505 to all Samsung. Now my main hard drive is a Samsung 970 Evo plus. The bank is right on and then some give me extra Gig or to. This is where I got let down.

> 3 dayThis SSD was Worth every penny. I Placed it in my year old HP laptop and it took performance up several notces. The APP opening and closing and power on and shut down speeds happen in a blink of an eye. When I first purchased my laptop I had the stock HDD drive inside and it was extremely slow and loud to a point where I almost could not use it. But after placing this SSD inside it made one heck of a difference. So before you upgrade your ram or even your processor try a new SSD

> 3 dayI have been a customer of Samsung products in many aspect of household usage and they never fail to meet my expectations. Bought an evo 840 ssd 250 GB back in December 2014 and unto this day, its running like super fast without a single cell error or failure. Written almost 45TB over the last 5 years and still almost 50TB more to go until it reaches its designed TBW capacity. Based on this experience, decided to buy this evo 860 evo ssd as the replacement for my aging hard drives and its been a month, not a single problem arose from this new ssd.
