Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

Its simply one of the best SSDs in the game.

My computer crashed and I was told I needed a new hard drive. This matched my needs and was a few years newer than the version that had come with the machine. It was a snap (haha the slot snaps in) to install, has worked flawlessly and solved my problems.

So far so good. Swapped out all my old hdds for four of these and used my old ssd for the ram hotswap space. The speed difference is night and day but its like comparing a 90s TV to an 8k TV. The Samsung Magician software is the real reason I got them over other brands.

If you can afford it, then get it! This has been a great SSD for storage of games, pics, text files, and so forth. With the use of SATA 3, this SSD seems to meet factory specs very well. Ive listed the Crystal benchmark test after 3 months of use and 12% disk space used.

Got this to replace an old mechanical drive. My boots on Windows, went from 6 and a half minutes to 3 minutes.

I like it because it comes with a software to clone or transfer your data from any HDD or SSD to this SSI. My computer runs faster since I installed this SSD.

Absolutely love this hard drive. I used the free samsung cloning software and copied over my old hard drive via this usb/sata adapter i had to purchase seperately, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HJZJI84/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2 ,but now my windows loads almost immediately, MatLab, AutoCad and Solidworks all load extremely fast, probbly 4x faster than the original 5400rpm hdd i had in my laptop (which is the Star Wars edition hp). i also purchased thins in conjunction with a samsung 16gb ddr3 ram kit. which helps. definitely recommend this over getting a newer laptop.

I installed this on my laptop for college. My old HDD was starting to slow significantly, and I thought it was time for an upgrade. BE SURE TO HAVE A SATA 3 CABLE OR ORDER ONE WITH THIS, as it does not come with one. Not only was physically installing this very easy (as long as you have a 2.5 inch drive, you will need a separate bracket if your old one is 3.5 inches). There is also a program called Samsung Data Migration which makes data transfer an absolute breeze. Basically plug and play one everything is installed on the new SSD. Although this is a higher price point than most, I feel that the simplicity is worth the extra cost. Would definitely recommend.

Fast and efficient. Works perfectly in Win7/Linux dual-boot environment. Picked up over an hour of battery life in Win7 and nearly two hours in Linux. Only complaint is the price, but admittedly, you get what you pay for.
