SAMSUNG T5 Portable SSD 1TB - Up to 540MB/s - USB 3.1 External Solid State Drive, Black (MU-PA1T0B/AM)

These T5s are fast, small and seem very sturdy. Ive dropped them on the carpet a number of times with no problems. Being only memory circuits, Im guessing they would take some drops on a hard surface with no technical damage up to a certain point. I get about 550 MB/s via Type-C Gen 2 connection, as measured by the excellent and free Blackmagic Disk Speed application, so they are blazingly fast.

I had a two fold need. I wanted to set up a backup system as well as use as a migration tool from my old Mac to my new Mac. Setup was very simple and all went 100% smooth.

I have a pixel. If you want to use this with your computer and pixel you have to format on the pixel FIRST. For some reason exFat formatting that it comes with isnt the right one? It works great and helps illustrator/Photoshop/premiere pro run faster AND handles large files with ease.

I really liked this usb ssd.. until I had one go bad on me the day I got it. And apparently there is no easy way to restore this drive back to factory. Ultimately I had to return it. I still use a few of these but prefer the SanDisk extreme portable.
