SAMSUNG T5 Portable SSD 1TB - Up to 540MB/s - USB 3.1 External Solid State Drive, Black (MU-PA1T0B/AM)

Was a little worried about buying this because of some of the reviews. Got it yesterday, connected it to my Mac and completed a total back up of my Mac in about half an hour. No formatting issues.

Samsung developed what appears to be a high quality 2TB SSD in a small package. I received this unit, formatted it for my new iMac 27” computer OS, I used the USB-C cable and started to back up 1TB of photos (mostly raw format). This process was rather quick compared to prior back ups on my other mechanical USB portable drives. Very happy with this drive, of course, would have liked to see the price a bit lower, but that is the market for such items. Overall I am pleased with the value I have received.

Just got it tonight and was absolutely blown away by the size. Its tiny. Will fit in a shirt pocket. I may just get two of them. Very impressed.

This drive rivals my internal samsung 840 evo. Its really fast. I used it to clone my drive after a clean install of windows 11, so if anything goes awry I can quickly restore the image and be back up and running in no time.

So far so dam good! The unit is extremely small, compact, solid, and transfer speeds on my macpro are superbe!

It works perfectly and I’ve had no issues with it. For the price it absolutely can not be beat

This is very small and is much smaller than I had anticipated but it plugged in and it works and is a great backup

Much handier and more robust than a conventional portable drive.

Fast fast fast, used a bunch to back up about 2tb of data and it happened with the quickness

This SSD has great speed and easy to use. The only reason I’m not giving this 5/5 stars is because there are other SSDs with USB 3.2 Generation 2 speeds instead of the 3.1 on this SSD.
