Purchased this hard drive based on some other positive reviews, despite all the poor reviews on transfer speed and overheating. My new Mac is 2020 w/ Big Sur. This SSD wont install and work with Big Sur; at least not without tech support from Samsung. I contacted tech support and was told to try a couple of fixes I had already tried. The tech support agent (via chat because phones were not staffed) was passive-aggressive and super difficult to work with. I was eventually given a ticket number and waited several days; after not hearing from anyone, I just returned the drive.

Cumple mis espectativas, se siente solido en la mano y muy ligero, tiene conecciones USB tipo C lo cual se agradece por la velocidad de copia y borrado, trae dos cables ara transmision de datos, uno USB tipo A a USB tipo C y un segundo cable USB tipo C por ambos extremos. Excelente servicio de Amazon.

Need storage for my Linux side of PC, inserted USB cable to 3.1 slot, immediately USB T5 visible. Formatted as exFat, did not use software on drive, during format to exFat files were overwritten. Copied 20GB of videos, pictures and music onto T5, super quick! Then went to Win 10 side of PC, same results, a happy customer.

This drive is lightning fast, and works great for playing the PS4 games off of (can store PS5 games, but not actually play them off the drive). Just make sure to use the cable that ships with the drive, and plug it into the back of the unit. The front ports dont have enough power.

Didnt work. My computer wouldnt recognize it. When I googled the issue to see if there was something I could do to fix it, it seemed like a common problem with no real solution. Had to return.
