> 3 dayI bought this device in January 2018, but unfortunately was unable to install it until June 2018. Big mistake. I installed it per the instructions, downloaded the software, set up a password, and checked for updates. All went well except for the fact that I cant seem to access the home screen where one can determine how to back up my computer. Ive tried reloading the software several times, disconnecting and reconnecting the device several times, and still no home page. I can still change my password and check for updates, but nothing else. I downloaded the instructions, but there were no help. I went on Samsungs website, but there was not help there either. Their FAQ section was worthless (at least for me). And apparently there is no tech help from Samsung for this device. Instructions are to keep referring to installation instructions, and if that doesnt work, return the device to retailer. Cant do that cause its too late. What a flaming waste of money.

> 3 dayA little expensive than other brands like usual. I recommend this for its reliability and build quality. Surprisingly, it is small and weighs next to nothing. Much better than portable hard drives.

> 3 dayI forgot I never reviewed this and I’ve had it for about 2/3 years now. At first I used it on an Xbox one which only had 500Gb so the storage update was huge. Last year I got a series x so I moved it from the Xbox one to the SX to store my old games on it and store new games on its internal storage for faster load times, and also you can’t store SX games on this I believe. Now this year I built a gaming pc and to save money I bought a 500gb nvme ssd for it, I ran out of space quick. I figured I could use this Samsung ssd for the pc so I did and it works great. Whenever I download a game it gives the option of my internal ssd or Samsung ssd and i believe you can install any game on it unlike the SX. This thing is a beast I highly recommend and if there’s newer models go for those instead.

Greater than one weekI use this item for loading games onto my Xbox One X. I load into games like PUBG, COD, and Battlefield series and I am ALWAYS the first one in the lobby. Its great because I can get to any of the vehicles first in Battlefield, on PUBG I am first to pick up guns off the table. Game loading times are cut by 33%-50%

> 3 dayThe Nvidia Shield doesn’t play well with external storage units. Tried quite a few external storage units, the Samsung SSD T5 works the best, doesn’t heat up like the T7 or the NVMe.

> 3 dayThis device is very slim and compact. I have only used it for a month or so, but operates just fine. It is a little on the slow side though. That being said, Im pleased with the purchase.
