At 100 dollars per TB of storage space, the price is not bad for a current External SSD Drive. Samsung is known for making higher quality SSD drives in general, and I was actually amazed at how small (physically) this drive actually was. Capable of using a USB 3.1 port, it communicates quickly. Obviously a USB 3.2 SSD Drive would communicate even faster, but for an extra 50 bucks per TB, just for double the possible throughput across a more modern cable and computer port still seems a bit steep. One step down to 3.1 still feels quite a bit faster then a physical hard drive based external drive.

This device is very slim and compact. I have only used it for a month or so, but operates just fine. It is a little on the slow side though. That being said, Im pleased with the purchase.

Super petit ssd... Rien a dire

Purchased 19 months ago and have loved it... when it works its great. Lightweight and fast. So thats also the problem. You rely on it more and more and more until one day after days of editing with Final Cut Pro my MacBook makes a swooshing sound and restarts. From that point on no data on the drive can be read. Plug the drive in and swoosh then reboot. Did I mention its at the worse time. So disappointing.

Ill update if it all goes terribly wrong, but so far it kinda seems perfect. Its amazingly small - watching the reviews and seeing pictures didnt prepare me for the little tiny perfect metal item that came out of the box. Fit and finish are top notch.

Works great in my Model Y. Just wish it loaded footage a bit faster but that could be the cars fault.

Until recently, Apple iMacs shipped with internal hard drives or fusion drives that are slow. I have a 2017 iMac with a 1 TB fusion drive and it is slow.
