    I purchased this SSD as a back-up drive for my computer. It is so much smaller, faster & more portable than a hard drive I ordered a second one to use with my iPad Pro - works great. Although I have not used the non Extreme Pro SSD it is my understanding that if you need the speed the extra cost for the Extreme Pro unit is worth the extra cost. I am extremely happy with both of mine.

    I love that this does NOT have a spinning drive. The flash memory is incredibly fast and doesnt make any noise or have any blinking lights. I put all my video and photos on here while creating on davinci resolve. The thunderbolt connection directly to the Mac works seamlessly and easy to format for Mac or PC. The rugged design is also a plus as I can bring this with me on my trips and not have to worry about it getting damaged.
