Getting around 900 MB/s going into the Thunderbolt 3 port on my iMac 27. It does get warm, but not really hot. Time will tell if thats a problem. Wish it did have an activity light.

I use these for recording multiple hi bandwidth using the BMD ATEM Mini PRO ISO. Works perfectly at the 400mbs required. The USB 3 interface is fast enough that I leave the video files on this drive to edit them.

Works well, tranferrate is great however it heats up way more than other drives of similar speed/capacity.

I bought two of these last year before they jacked up the price, one 500GB for $90 and one 1TB for $180. Both ended up failing after a year. The 1TB somewhat works but only works when plugged into a phone and isnt recognized when plugged into a PC, the 500GB wont be recognized by anything. Being that I have two of the cables that came with these, and a number of USB-C cables laying around, I can confirm its not a problem with the cables. But to top it off, the 500GB version needed the REVERSIBLE USB-C CABLE to be in a certain orientation in order for it to work, on both the device and drive end. Why? No idea. Overall disappointed that they both failed, considering how much they were. They were awesome when they worked, I could carry them around in my pocket and transfer files to almost anyone. instantly.

I bought this because I have been working on editing my documentary, The Artist - A Documentary, in Premiere Pro on my iMac. I ran out of space on the internal drive of the iMac and needed an external drive that had enough capacity to store a 800GB premier file and fast enough to edit the same file. The Sandisk 2TB Extreme Pro has handled my project without any problems at all. It’s been perfect.

This SSD hard drive is one of the best that I have ever used. It is very portable and lightweight, 5/5.

I use this on my Lenovo laptop running Windows 10.1. As a backup device it provides a very fast transfer rate as it is connected through usb-c. It does not get warm and it is quite small so it easily moves from place-to-place as it is needed.

It came with a cord about 12 long. Good for portability but a hassle to use with a desktop machine.
