Greater than one weekI really want to like this SSD... it feels very nice when you hold it, the appearance and size is perfect for a portable SSD. However it crushed constantly while writing...it crushed itself and it also crushed the laptop. I brought it twice from Bestbuy and from Amazon. They both act the same way, and end up returning both. Maybe it’s my Alienware laptop, or the SSD itself I’m not sure. The Samsung SSD I brought later works fine tho. Just a head up to Alienware users... it might not work for you.

12-06-2025I travel with my drives and it seems they wear out every 3 years. I am hoping that with no moving parts that these will last much longer

> 3 dayWhen paired with a Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C (3.1) port, this drive shines. IF YOU ARE A MAC USER—be sure to format the drive using Disk Utility before you use the drive. Otherwise, youll have issues mounting the drive on your desktop. Youll get much more for your money this way instead of buying a Lacie or G drive.

> 3 dayI use this drive to expand the storage on my gaming laptop. I tried attaching it to the back directly with Velcro stickers but the heat from the drive kept melting the glue. I found the best mounting option was to mount a Command hook to the back and hang it from the lanyard hole. Im able to run modern games (Control, Pretty, Jedi: Fallen Order) directly from the drive with no delay or loading time.
