Perfect replacement stick for a Mayflash F101. Was having trouble with the stick not recognizing all the directions but I tried a different cable and flipped the cable around and it works fine now. Needs a five pin cable (sold separately), but you can get like... 5 for $3 so its no big deal. The install itself was super easy- I went into it completely blind and figured it out no problem. Absolutely recommended.

My product showed up in just a bag. A box was in the bag, its only held the worthless wire that comes with that doesnt fit the mayflash I bought it for. Meanwhile, my stick was loose in the plastic (not cushioned) bag. As a result the pins were bent which is just frustrating. If you can I suggest finding another distributor, though the product works fine after I bent the pins back.

Very well made Joystick by a well known arcade controller parts manufacturer. This company is the best quality wise for parts like this. I used mine along with Sanwas black arcade buttons to build my own controller for street fighter 5 and it worked very well. Building a controller with separate parts like this really adds to the personality of the controller. You can build it exactly to your liking with the colors that you want and with whatever wood/metal/shoeboxish material that you like. You can even just throw it into a pre made plastic box and it would still work very well. As for this actual stick, it feels very satisfying when the stick reaches the registration distance for the movement. It feels akin to using cherry mx blue keys on a mechanical keyboard: Clicky. Ive tried out my friends stick that costed him only $15 from another manufacturer, and Ive got to say that it just doesnt feel as good. It feels very muddy and the transition just doesnt feel as satisfying. This is stick is definitely worth the extra money and will probably live for a lot longer. It also comes in a lot of different colors, so you can pick and choose from whatever fits your style. At the end of the day, it really makes it a lot more enjoyable to use something like this as opposed to a normal controller, just to get that true genuine arcade feeling while still being super accessible in your own home.

The gate can be made to go so called 4 way mode BUT let me tell you its not true 4 way.... just load 1943 and fly the plane around and you will see the plane will occasionally go DIAGONAL! All will seem like 4 way but purposely go diagonal and you will see there is a time if you hit it right your plane will go diagonal because the switches are not leaf they are buttons and the gate is allowing the two to hit if you slide the stick - I tried 2 sticks both set to 4 way and they both fail the 1943 game test... I put a 4 way happ or seimetsu and it behaves properly. .. if you go diagonal your plane should just stay where it is and not move since your not hitting any buttons.... since this game is 8 way its a great way to test a sticks 4 way performance and this stick FAILS ! if your getting playing pac man or donkey kong and get stuck on a ladder or corner change your stick cause this one sucks for 4 way mode !

Recently picked up a Hori Fighting Edge arcade stick and couldnt get used to the square gate. Ordered this replacement stick along with an octo gate as the stock Hori gate wasnt drop in replaceable. Has a great feel and a nice snap back, not too heavy, not too stiff. Was a simple 5 minute swap and Id definitely recommend it!

I just put two of these in my old joysticks and it was simple plug and play process, both sticks feel brand new now and I highly recommend this stick.

The stick itself appears to be legit. However, I ordered the green ball handle and got red from the Amazon seller Sintron Technology. This is going in a Mayflash F300 as soon as the cable comes in. The Sanwa buttons I ordered came in as well and theyre already in and working well. Disappointed not in the product, but in the color mismatch. The cable arrived and the stick is now in. Easy install and night and day better than the stock joystick in the Mayflash F300. Tighter, more responsive controls. Coupled with Sanwa buttons my F300 is as good as, if not better, than much higher priced alternatives. Plays the old classics like Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Galaga, etc., perfectly in 4-way. Easy enough to switch to 8-way if so desired but Im leaving this as is.

Replaced my 1up controller with this one. Night and day performance, money well spent. I also found a wire harness that was plug and play for $2. Took 5 mins to install. All you need is a Phillips screw driver.

The Sanwa joystick itself is 5/5, but it looks like pink rather than the nice purple in the images on here, so its a little disappointing in that regard.
