It is a strap that trains your upper back and shoulders to the correct posture. If you lean forward, the straps will Remind you hey, time to put your shoulders back up. They dig into your armpits though, so make sure you wear clothing. Its not some sort of magical device to reduce pain. The straps reek of chemical plastic though, even after one week. Some people will find the plastic/rubber smell nauseating. Works well, esp for an 18 dollar strap.

I ordered this Schiara Posture Corrector to help relieve back pain and improve posture. At first, it takes some getting used to since it pulls your shoulders back to help prevent you from hunching over. Once you wear it a few times, you adjust to it and it feels good as it does help to straighten your posture. I can feel it making me walk more upright because I sometimes hunch over and dont realize it. It works well from what I can see. Also, I believe there is a direct relationship between good posture and reduced back pain, another benefit of using this type of brace. The owner of this business sent me a professional-looking letter following up on my order, offering assistance if I had any issues with this posture-correcting brace. Thats going the extra mile. Easy wear. Does not force posture, but is more like a grntle but constant reminder to remain straight

I wear the jacket all day and got used to it quickly. I gave it 5 stars because it does what it is supposed to do without feeling bulky. Two Suggestions: When the jacket is on, the straps under the arm pit tend to slip off each other rather than staying superimposed. Could be resolved with a non-slip material so the two straps would more like stay in place. Second: I would lengthen the center vertical strip in the back by an inch or so to make it easier to get off by grabbing it and pulling down. I have to almost jump up and down to get the jacket off my shoulders. It is a little bit cumbersome removing it. I initially tried another brand but it was two bulky and cumbersome to put on. Overall, Im very happy with the posture corrector.
