> 3 dayThe biggest thing to note is we purposely installed it upside down compared to the install directions. They show to install it with the end of the S curve handle pointing upward. But we like these types of handles with the end pointing downward. With it downward it is easier to use your elbow to push down the handle, if your hands are full, and let your arm slide off the handle as you enter. Looking online, some other companies do show them downward as well. I think the handle works just as well either way (we have tried it both ways). If you want to change the end of the handle from pointing up or down to the other way, you just switch which handle you put on the inside of the door and the outside of the door.

> 3 dayYou can never really tell from a picture on Amazon what the actual item is going to be like. Thank God for Amazons easy return policy. We are slowly upgrading our house as we can afford to. We wanted all replacement items to be reasonably priced, but high quality. These door knobs are about $20 more than the cheapest chintzy knob on the market - and about $10 more than the knobs in the style being sold. Way, way, worth the extra cost. They are beautiful, the weight is heavy - they feel high-quality, and they glide when you use them. They are a good investment. I am delighted, and as we can afford to we will be buying more for all the bedroom/bathroom doors in the house.

> 3 dayI was in the process of converting all of the fixtures in my condo from a brass finish to brushed nickel. I wanted to update to a modern look without going too soft nor too sharp on the edges. This family of handles provided the perfect balance of everything I was looking for! This was used for all of the interior doors in my place, the presentation was an ideal fit, and the handle holds sturdily. The finish of the handle keeps it from showing a lot scratches (particularly useful for high traffic doors) and the lever design makes it easy to use even when your hands are full. The handle can easily flip facing left or right depending on which way your door swings, and installation is literally done in less than 15 minutes! I installed the keyed version of this for the main entry door and could not be happier with how well the appearance of my entire place has transformed!

22-04-2025Purchased it about 3 months ago. Nice upgrade from the ones I had before. They went on very easily, particularly considering the difficulty I had removing the cheap, tarnished ones the previous owners had. A quick, efficient downward turn using this lever is all you do and there are no irritating minor readjustments that need to be made as on the preceding levers. The one thing that befuddles me, however, is that Amazon always says there is only one left and wont let me order multiples. I had to go to another Amazon dealer, translation, no Prime free delivery to buy multiples. Ended up paying more for the product (X the 4 or 5 I ordered) and because I was mad I didnt pay attention to detail and got a slightly different version. That was on me but Amazon was great about the return though. Still dont get why I can only order one at a time. Guess Ill just have to replenish them one at a time. Makes no sense to me but I spent enough years in the service to know there are reasons why things are like they are and that as incomprehensible as they may be to the average person, somebody, somewhere, has a perfectly reasonable explanation for this kind of philosophy. And believe you me, being average is my inspirational goal in Life.

> 3 dayThis landlord girl is usually a Kwikset loyalist, but when I wanted to upgrade my new house with some attractive hardware I just couldnt find what I wanted from KS. On a whim I looked at Schlage for our interior door hardware and I fell in love with these! They are beautiful and sturdy and were so easy to install even my 13 y/o got to work with the drill and installed some herself. Im very impressed and pleased with my purchase! Watch out KS... ;)

> 3 dayThis was bought as a replacement for an entry door knob, for both front and garage doors. We bought this along with a schlage deadbolt and bought a 2nd set. We had them re-keyed locally at a locksmith store, so we would have a single key. We originally had bought a Kwikset brand knob with a similar design but the locksmith said that Kwikset was not as secure as Schlage. In all, were pleased with this purchase. Elegant design and my husband said it was easy to install. This lever style has helped a lot with my wrist pain since Ive had DeQurvains on both wrists. Definitely a lot more manageable to open than a round knob style. It used to take me several minutes just to turn the round knob, but this now takes me seconds. Just put the key in and push down on the lever.

> 3 dayI bought this to pair with my camelot key pad. The keyed version is actually cheaper and I cant understand why, but I needed something keyless because the whole point of the keypad was to prevent being locked out of the house. ☆Easy, straight forward set up. ☆The handles CAN BE SWITCHED. It arrived in the left side position (I needed it installed on the right). I used the included metal key (wire, really) and inserted it into the holes on each handle to pop them off. Then I just shimmied them onto the opposite sides. ☆Much heftier than what I was expecting. I bought keyed EZ set levers for the interior, Brinks lever for the back door, and replaced an old, round brass deadbolt set on the exterior with this, and the Schlage feels so much more robust than any of those. ☆2 screws are visible on the interior plate. My Brinks set managed to hide these, and I feel that would have been a good choice for the Schlage, too.
