I have had this door lever lockset for years and called Schlage for a replacement. They made no fuss at all and did everything to get me a replacement as soon as possible. Free replacement and shipping. I am so happy I put all my door locksets as Schlage years ago.

Overall good quality handset that is very easy to install as a replacement for a standard door knob. I purchased 2 sets of these to replace standard door knobs on interior doors. They only took minutes to install. I should note that unlike the door knobs that these handsets replaced, these levers do not operate independently, i.e. turning the lever on one side of the door activates the lever on the other side. The original handleset knobs could turn and actuate the door latch independently. This is probably a meaningless detail but I did take note of it as a design element. There was a slight imperfection on the rim of the bezel of one unit (the small lip that contacts the door had a slight ding in it, i.e. not perfectly round edge, that probably happened during mfg/packing) but was slight enough not to warrant returning for a replacement. The imperfection is not really detectable mounted on the door. Color finish is uniform.

I rated this lever 4 stars only because I wanted to leave room for something better. Since I didnt buy/install other levers I cant make a general statement as to whether this lever is in the best category. I bought this lever because it seemed to provide good value compared to other levers and, after installing a whole house full, I still have that opinion. If you are considering this lever note that the handle is easily reversible and the same key that unlocks it is the key used to unlatch the handle so you can reverse it. This provides fewer parts and is good design practice. I was replacing existing round knobs and this lever fit in without any modifications to the existing holes or latch. I used the existing screws to attach the levers because the screws that came with the levers were slightly bigger and I didnt want to have problems with threading. I picked the bright brass to replace existing bright brass and it matches exactly. The quality of these levers seems reasonable for the price.

This lock was used on my garage entry into the house and it came with a Left Handed installation. That is exactly what I wanted. Very easy to install and it only took five mins. I am a female and thought it would be complicated, but it wasnt. Thank you.

These are very high quality locksets. I have five of them installed in my house, and the latest two went on my storage shed. The mechanisms work well, even when they get rained on then freeze. They are easy to re-key. I bought a re-keying kit, knowing that I would be installing a bunch of these. None of them have corroded or discolored in any way (the first 5 are two years old). They come with both rounded and square cornered strike plates. If I were to express any dissatisfaction, it would be that the screws that hold the latches in the door work loose with a lot of use. That happened on two of my doors. The solution was to remove the screws, apply a drop of BLUE (you could use purple) Loctite, and re-install the screws. DO NOT USE RED LOCTITE BECAUSE IT IS FOREVER, AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET THE SCREWS OUT IN THE FUTURE!

Extremely sturdy, great quality and material, and looks gorgeous. Easy to install. Worth paying a little more than cheaper brands due to durability.

Purchased it about 3 months ago. Nice upgrade from the ones I had before. They went on very easily, particularly considering the difficulty I had removing the cheap, tarnished ones the previous owners had. A quick, efficient downward turn using this lever is all you do and there are no irritating minor readjustments that need to be made as on the preceding levers. The one thing that befuddles me, however, is that Amazon always says there is only one left and wont let me order multiples. I had to go to another Amazon dealer, translation, no Prime free delivery to buy multiples. Ended up paying more for the product (X the 4 or 5 I ordered) and because I was mad I didnt pay attention to detail and got a slightly different version. That was on me but Amazon was great about the return though. Still dont get why I can only order one at a time. Guess Ill just have to replenish them one at a time. Makes no sense to me but I spent enough years in the service to know there are reasons why things are like they are and that as incomprehensible as they may be to the average person, somebody, somewhere, has a perfectly reasonable explanation for this kind of philosophy. And believe you me, being average is my inspirational goal in Life.
