This was bought as a replacement for an entry door knob, for both front and garage doors. We bought this along with a schlage deadbolt and bought a 2nd set. We had them re-keyed locally at a locksmith store, so we would have a single key. We originally had bought a Kwikset brand knob with a similar design but the locksmith said that Kwikset was not as secure as Schlage. In all, were pleased with this purchase. Elegant design and my husband said it was easy to install. This lever style has helped a lot with my wrist pain since Ive had DeQurvains on both wrists. Definitely a lot more manageable to open than a round knob style. It used to take me several minutes just to turn the round knob, but this now takes me seconds. Just put the key in and push down on the lever.

The lock I received barely had any copper color coming thru. Im so disappointed. Nothing like the color in the pic online. Basically a bronze lock, not aged bronze. This is the only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating. It was easy to install and seems to be a quality lock. The directions that came with it were confusing, but its not hard to figure out on your own without the directions.

We bought these for the closet door pulls to match the door knobs in the rest of the house.

This lock was used on my garage entry into the house and it came with a Left Handed installation. That is exactly what I wanted. Very easy to install and it only took five mins. I am a female and thought it would be complicated, but it wasnt. Thank you.

Broken...waaaay too expensive to break within 6 months of use...although I am Hercules so things generally dont last long in my house. Delilah is awfully upset with the sheer amount of destruction I cause in the house. Its pretty though.

I bought this to compliment the digital dead bolt and had them keyed the same. Now when I go on vacation my door is double protected. It slipped right in the old holes and was in in 20 minutes.

This is literally the same door knob that was on my house when I bought it 20 years ago. The old one finally broke, so I went looking for something similar. I didnt think Schlage would be making the exact same lock 20 years later, so I was surprised to find this. I dont know if the part number is identical to the one that came with my house. But it looks like the identical door knob. It was super-easy to install because the new one exactly matched the old one. And once I installed it, it was as smooth as butter. I had just gotten used to the old one getting a little tight and rough. But when I installed the new one, it was like wow! Its so smooth!

These are very high quality locksets. I have five of them installed in my house, and the latest two went on my storage shed. The mechanisms work well, even when they get rained on then freeze. They are easy to re-key. I bought a re-keying kit, knowing that I would be installing a bunch of these. None of them have corroded or discolored in any way (the first 5 are two years old). They come with both rounded and square cornered strike plates. If I were to express any dissatisfaction, it would be that the screws that hold the latches in the door work loose with a lot of use. That happened on two of my doors. The solution was to remove the screws, apply a drop of BLUE (you could use purple) Loctite, and re-install the screws. DO NOT USE RED LOCTITE BECAUSE IT IS FOREVER, AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET THE SCREWS OUT IN THE FUTURE!
