SENNHEISER HD 599 Open Back Headphone, Ivory

I Love these headphones. The sound quality is excellent and they are very comfortable to wear.

No soy entendido de sonido pero mis sensación es que los graves son fuertes y nada claros. En general me ha parecido un sonido sucio y de muy mala calidad. Los comparé con los que tenía viejos y más baratos y el sonido de los viejos era más claro. Los devolví y pedí los Audio-Technica SonicPro Home Studio, también abiertos, y el sonido es mucho más agradable. Y para diálogos, los Audio-Technica SonicPro Home Studio mucho mejor. Aún así, después de probar 2 auriculares abiertos prefiero los cerrados.

Bought these as an early Christmas present to myself as I am in desperate need of some headphones, but have had difficulty finding a pair that were comfy and good quality. So when I saw that these were on special during the Black Friday sale I decided to take a chance on these expensive (for me) headphones. They arrived this morning, and I love them. The fabric covering on the ear pieces makes it so much more comfortable to wear, and although these are not noise cancelling, the sound quality is amazing. If you’re looking for something to listen to audiobooks, podcasts, or music - the only audio formats I’ve tried with these - then I’d recommend taking a look at this and wait for another sale.

I ordered these on sennheisers reputation and reading a lot of reviews After receiving them I can see why they have a good reputation. They are very attractive and are well made. The sound quality is amazing and the comfort is just right. They are easy to drive but will benefit immensely from a dedicated amp and dac. I use a Shitt Asgard 3 and it is a good match. You do need good sound quality recordings because they will defiantly reproduce what ever is there. If you have quality recordings it will sound live. I would not hesitate to buy these again. For the price I dont think you good do any better.

Loved the headphones. Worked great for music but unbalanced for tv, which is common I understand. I returned them and purchased the Sennheiser RS 185 RS wireless headphones. Totally worth it.

Good solid pair of headphones. Very comfortable to wear, very lightweight and you barely even notice theyre on your head even with glasses on. Although the sound quality is amazing one thing I didnt know that when I was buying these was that theyre open back. Which means that if you play music at loud volumes they will leak some noise and you can also hear the outside very clearly, almost like youre wearing nothing at all. I was originally going to return these because I can hear the AC in my room clearly through the headphones but when the music comes on, it sounds amazing. You will have to deal with hearing things in the background while wearing it but if you can mentally tune the noises out youll be greeted with the most comfortable headphones ever. Sometimes I play games for hours at a time and have never felt discomfort with these on, I highly recommend these but understand that they are OPEN BACK headphones, which have the same quirks and drawbacks as other non closed back headphones.

After 10+ years with my faithful Audio-Technica ATH50Ms, I wanted to try an open-back phone. After the first year with the HD599 I can say that these are easily a best buy..probably THE best for the current price. Great, balanced sound, with a sweet, light weight in both the sound pressure and the comfort, accurate and well balanced across the frequency range. I would prefer a slightly tighter fit but they wont fall off so thats small beans. Highly recommended!

The Sennheiser HD 599s have an impressive dynamic sound with plenty of detail throughout the low, mid-range and high frequencies. You will not be disappointed with these!!

Getting rid of the poofy HD598 headband design has somehow made these HD599s more comfortable. The HD599 keeps the energetic (and bass light) sound of the HD598. These are great for live sports, video games, and to a lesser extent, music. Most comfortable headphones I own. My HD650 technically sounds better (and for music, it plainly does sound better and voices are more natural), but for a fun energetic sound, optimal comfort, and the convenience of a single earcup cable, I tend to grab these more often than not.
