I bought this to replace an older vacuum—does a much better job! I love the latch to remove the dust it opens from the bottom meaning you dont breath in all the dust that collets from the top. Really good suction—again, does a much better job than our old vacuum. Very happy with the purchase, shark vacuums are great.

Love this Shark! Works great. I do need to add some attachments for under the furniture & such but overall it’s a great cleaning tool. Now to order more attachments & love cleaning. Even my kids can push & clean the floors with this one.

Incredible suction on both tile floors and carpet. Coming from central vacuum system it’s a little heavy but worth it. Bedroom carpet looked like it had been shampooed. Highly recommend this vacuum.

1.5 years ago I purchased a Miele upright for $750 because I have pets and wanted something that had great suction power. When I tried in the store it was wonderful….HOWEVER, when I got it home it was a different story since it weighed 21 pounds and was soooooo difficult to maneuver in my home. I dreaded when I had to vacuum (which is very often), so I succumbed to the fact I just needed to move on. Yep….. many nights spending endless hours reading reviews of “the best vacuums”. With this being said, I settled on this Shark model and I am soooooo glad I did!! This Shark vacuum out performed the $750 Miele within minutes; it was 5 pounds lighter with better suction and maneuverability. Will never own another vacuum except for a Shark in the future.

I love this vaacuum, granted our old one wasnt working well, but I can not believe all the stuff this has picked up and betweeen my long hair and the dog, none of it is wrapped around the roller.. love it. I do find it a tad heavy to push around, but worth the effort.

My dyson all floors basically fell apart after 10 years of use. I read hundreds of reviews and watched review comparison videos of all types of vacuums from super expensive down to inexpensive. I settled on this on based on the suction power and the zero-m anti hair wrap. I vacuumed my house after 8 days (my vacuum broke then it was a holiday so delivery was delayed) and there wasnt one hair on the brush roll. Other reviews said they had hair wrap so I wasnt expecting much but there was no hair. I have long hair and my daughter does too and we have a golden retriever. Super impressed. Also, the ease of access to the brushroll is a huge plus since my old dyson you had to flip upside down and use a coin to open the casing. It was pain. With this one you just click a button and the over comes off exposing the roll. The hand held pet tool did however get hair wrapped around it on the first use but it doesnt advertise the zero-m technology. It is tall. If you are short it may be cumbersome for you. I am 57 and it is noticeably taller than other vacuums. It drives itself when in carpet mode, very strong forward pull you have to control it. Easy to move between hard floors and the two carpet settings. The hose doesnt seem very flexible and I am getting used to the way to wand works it seems awkward but I may be using it wrong. 3 tools, and two spots for tools. Kind of annoying so I just kept the one brushroll tool with the manual in the accessories box that came with it. Seems like there should be a spot for all tools. Dust collection bin is smaller than the dyson I had, I emptied it 4 times for one vacuum but like I said it had been a week. Overall I am loving it. The negatives are very minimal and dont outweigh the positives. I did a ton of research before I landed on this one and I am glad I did. I have only had it a week so I cant comment on longevity but I have vacuumed daily for 8 days and not one hair is on the brushroll. For me thats a win.

I have a dog, cat, 2 daughters and lots of hair!! This vacuum is amazing and really works! After years of having to cut away hair from a roll brush, this is a godsend!!

This Rating Is For The “Shark AZ1002 Apex Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum with DuoClean & Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Crevice Tool, Upholstery Tool & Pet Power Brush, for a Deep Clean on & Above Floors, Espresso”. This is our first Shark vacuum cleaner. Compared to all the previous vacuums we have owned and used, this one really has awesome suction. It did extremely well on our hardwood floors and our inside carpet. It was not quite as good on our outside carpet in our mudroom entrance. However, having said that, this Shark did better than anything else here too. Also, once the dirt is in this vacuum it does not leave it until you dump the dust cup. We like the no bags, cleanable foam filter and easy to replace HEPA filter. (We had no problems finding these items and purchasing them at Amazon. Now if it ever becomes necessary to change one and/or both of these filters, we will be able to do a quick change and keep right on cleaning). We also like the LED lights shining where one is vacuuming. This is especially true under furniture or dark locations. It takes some getting use to having a vacuum that comes apart to do different types of cleaning jobs. This is both nice and awkward at the same time. It is great for getting under furniture such as sofas or beds, but becomes quite a workout when cleaning a stairwell. One has to hold the canister in one hand and the cleaning wand in the other. This vacuum’s design prevents having a long hose for this task. We need to ask if Shark has an optional longer attachable hose for this type of cleaning job. We have had this Shark AZ1002 Apex vacuum for about a month (as of this writing) and so far so good. We are considering purchasing a second one so we can have one on each floor. This Shark vacuum is expensive for us, but seems to be worth it. It is nice to be able to make two passes over a spot and move on to the next one, knowing you have picked more dirt than anything else would have done. This is a very good high quality product when all is said and done. Our last comment: Nobody here is affiliated with Shark or even Amazon for that matter. These positive comments posted here are how we see it and have been posted accordingly.

I was embarrassed how much dirt this picked up! Lol! I bought this to replace a Dyson and it put my Dyson to absolute shame! Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again. Great machine. Five stars.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
