> 3 dayThe main reason I bought this vacuum is because it claims to not have hair wrap. Well, it doesnt seem to work for me. I have really long hair (down to my waist) and after vacuuming a small area, I looked at the roller (see picture). Sure enough, my hair is neatly wrapped around the roller! My old vacuum (a Bissell) worked well, but I got tired of cleaning the roller all the time. Im sorry that I spent $400 on this. I would have gotten something cheaper, or just continued to use my Bissell. I gave it 3 stars because it does seem to clean well and it does pick up dog hair. I thought about returning it, but I just spent a lot of money on attachments because the reviews were so good. One review suggested letting it run for a few seconds after vacuuming. I did that and it just seems to comb the hair around the roller. I have several Shark vacuums and I like the quality, but Im very disappointed that Ill have to continue to clean the roller. Maybe I should just get my hair cut.

> 3 dayI purchased this vacuum after returning the Dyson Animal 2 which was a terrible disappointment. Having always used Dysons I was very hesitant to switch to Shark. All I can say is wow! This vacuum is obviously designed by someone who actually does a lot of vacuuming. It’s designed to be so convenient, and intuitive. You can do anything without reading the directions. From the hose detachment to the multiple setting from floor to carpet, to the pull away canister, to emptying it. Everything is a dream! Everything is conveniently located, like the floor to rug switch and the power switch, right on the handle. I didn’t think the lights on the roller and the hose were a big deal, but they are an amazing help when vacuuming under furniture and in dark corners. And the suction!!! I can’t believe how much dirt and hair I’m pulling out of our rugs. I have a dog and two cats and this vacuum can handle a pet hair filled house like a boss. Not to mention actually clean my car! I’d say the only downsides are the pet hair attachment (kinda meh), and the one small attachment does not stay put because of where the holder is placed by the power cord. But these issues are nothing. Amazing value, amazing vacuum.

Greater than one weekI bought the Dyson Ball Animal 2 for comparison and kept the Shark. Serious suction and maneuverability with this machine; as well, as well, the lift away features are great. Very happy! The only corrections Id offer are: - The main hose is too short for comfortable ceiling vacuuming applications and is a kind of cheap plastic and the main extender hose doesnt have a brush on it. Hey, you cant get everything you want; I recommend this item.

> 3 dayThis vacuum cleaner does its job well. It is light to use and handles hair well. It is equipped with an extra brush for hard floors, which additionally polishes it. Highly recommended

> 3 dayI have had so many bad vacuums. This does not seem to be one of them. I have three people in my household with long hair that sheds onto the carpet and then normally gets stuck in previous vacuums. But this vacuum handles long human hair very well. I have not had the vacuum for a long time, so I am not sure how it will last, but here is what I have observed so far: Hair does not get stuck on the rollers - make sure you follow the directions and run the vacuum on the correct setting (bare floor) to get it to cut the hair off. For me, this was a big deal - and what I was specifically looking for in a vacuum. It seems to be amazing for cleaning hair so far. (I do not have a pet, so this review is about human hair - but it seems like it would be great for pet hair too.) I love how the vacuum swivels and turns - easy to handle. The tools - the way to attach tools to the vacuum (when not in use) does not really hold them well. It seems like the cord gets in the way of where to store the tools. They are not the easiest part of this vacuum to use either, but I am getting used to how to do it. The detachable part that you can carry around to vacuum is somewhat heavy, so it might be more difficult for things like cleaning stairs, but not unusable. I don’t use the tools very much, so I don’t care. The disposal of vacuum contents - I like that there is a handle and a way to drop the dirt out from the bottom. It seems like the dirt does not fly in my face as much as previous vacuums with the way this is made. The suction power seems great also. And all of the filters are easy to get to for cleaning or replacing.

> 3 dayEdit 6 months later: Seriously if you are looking for a vacuum that will suck all of the dog hair up this right here is it. This thing is a dream to use. I breaks down super well so it cleans easily. It sucks great never once had a clog. I try to vacuum once a week with two dogs that shed quiet a bit and this thing is just as good as the day it got here. Okay I know the title is a little over the top but Im dead serious. So heres my story... 4 years ago I bought a vacuum and was great for spitting whatever your vacuuming back at you unless you were on hardwood floors. I also researched that one for months before I picked it. Got rid of that vacuum and got a completely different vacuum brand style and all. Spent 6 months researching before I made my decision. That vacuum had to be unclogged every pass on the carpet practically and empty halfway through a room even if I vacuumed every day. Then after about 6 months parts started breaking left and right. So back to my research I go. I deep dived an googled and inquired with friends and googled some more and deep dived and googled some more and then I found this Glorious machine. Now this is what the other vacuums were against 2 clean adults we kept the house nice and anywhere from 0 to 2 dogs. All of our dogs are short hair. I vacuumed once a week to keep on top of things and make sure to give them a fighting chance. Now in comes this work horse. I was shocked thoroughly but the amount of dirt and dust and hair that came out of our low pile carpet. I actually vacuumed twice the first time to make sure I got it as best I could. Directly after I carpet cleaned. THERE WAS NO HAIR TUFTS PULLED UP ANYWHERE. Also this is the first vacuum I have ever had that didnt smell like I kicked up a tone of dust. I can honestly say it helps my allergies. Seriously get this vacuum. You will not regret it.

The Everything Customer
> 3 dayThis is my second Ninja. The first was a Ninja Rotator I bought in 2018. It failed in 2020. Beyond any repair I could perform. The problem was not one noted in the 5 or 6 troubleshooting tips in their manual. Couldnt find a solution anywhere on Youtube either. It just lost suction. I just accepted my fate ($400 worth) and ordered a new vacuum. As mentioned when these work..theyve got superior suction. When they work there is a WHOLE lot to like about these. So, I bought a new model of the Ninja from Amazon. Another $400 . The Apex, which is advertised as having self-cleaning rollers (dont believe it..they still need cleaned) and all sorts of other little technologies that sounded pretty cool. This was purchased at the end of December this year. Last week it failed. Thats less than 3 months. This time it was really strange. I smelled a little burn..instantly turned off the vacuum (even though these are supposed to shut themselves down when hot to avoid damage). I went through all the trouble-shooting tips. The roller was wrapped in hair. Cleaned out. The hose was full of debris..was able to blow this out. Ive always kept the filters clean so these were not even in the equation. I will say, this vacuum is very easy to get into ANY possible trouble spot..thats the good news. The bad news is, it doesnt matter once you hit the point of no return. Tried to turn it back on. When upright, where you can typically pull out the hose and use it to spot clean, it wouldnt even turn on. When I engaged the floor cleaner it did turn on, but had no power and a very high-pitched whirl. I knew it was fried. Again, there was nothing on the internet that even mentioned this behavior. This time ($800 plus into Ninja products) I took a shot with Amazon perhaps helping me out. And they did. Amazon sent me another unit. Im hoping it will last. If it doesnt last at least 3 or 4 years I will never-ever buy another Ninja. The only reason I gave this 2 stars is based on Amazons integrity and motivation to help out a long time customer like myself. I may not always do business with Ninja, but I will always shop AMAZON!. ****update****. The 2nd replacement(3rd in all) I got is still going strong. Now, Ive replaced all carpet in my home with wood besides a couple area rugs. Undoubtedly that puts less stress on a vacuum cleaner. However, I did add a star to my original review because this 3rd Shark is working like a champ..Love It!

Greater than one weekImmediate first impressions: Cons: heavier than I expected and doesn’t turn as easily as I thought it would. Sort of reminded me of an old fashioned vacuum based on bulkiness. Pros: picks up amazing on hard floors, carpet and rugs. I love the light on it, it really helps to show what you don’t see. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Of course everything will have cons, I was looking for a good vacuum for my new house and this will be a perfect fit!

> 3 dayI bought this vacuum back in February 2019, and have used it about an average of 2 hours every week since. The vacuum still has great suction. If there has been a loss in power, its small enough that I havent noticed. We do keep the filters clean and actually replaced them a few months ago. I dont know what magic Shark used on these rollers, but I literally havent had to cut hair out of them once. We have 2 women with long hair in living in our house, and a dog, and the rollers seriously dont have ANY hair wrapped around them after 2 years. Thats freaking impressive to me. The powered hand-held pet hair removal attachment thing is also very impressive. Ive put that through its paces vacuuming off our couches and stairs each week. Same thing, no hair wrapped around the little roller and the electric motor driving the roller is still going strong. Now, on to the customer service part of the story. Recently the main 2 rollers completely seized up. I was using the vacuum as normal and started smelling burning rubber or plastic (not sure). About 10 seconds later the roller light indicator turned red and the rollers stopped. Vacuum still works great, but I cannot get the rollers to budge at all even by hand. I assume something inside the drive assembly / mechanism broke. I went on to Sharks website, created an account with Shark and registered my product (as suggested in their warranty section), then called the 1-800 number for help. I waited on hold for less than 5 minutes. The customer service representative was intelligent. She was able to text me a link that created a video call while I was on the line with her so that I could show her exactly what the issue was. After less than 10 minutes on the phone, she had emailed me a tracking number for the free Duo-clean Floor Nozzle with Zero-M (a $90 part that was covered by the warranty), which will arrive here in 2 weeks. She then apologized that it was going to take 2 weeks, because shipping is usually faster than that but there are substantial delays right now due to COVID-19. (I work in the shipping industry so this was no surprise, and honestly 2 weeks was faster than what I expected anyway.) I am extremely impressed with the customer service, and this experience will likely drive me to buy another Shark vacuum when it comes time to replace this one. The only reason why Im not giving this 5 stars is because the standard handheld brush attachment (not the motorized one) has pretty poor suction. This isnt because of the vacuum, but because of the way the brush attachment was designed. It is actually the upholstery attachment, with a brush that clips to the end of it. The way the brush clips on lets a ton of air leak around it, so the suction is terrible with this thing (pics included). The vacuum also doesnt have anywhere to store this attachment on it, so I have to store it in the closet on a shelf and then carry it around with me if Im using it. Im really confused on why they went this direction in the design, because it doesnt work well at all. Like I said, almost perfect. I still love this thing though. Great vacuum.

> 3 dayMy main takeaway is that it came with a squeaky wheel. Otherwise, it works quite well.
