July 19, 2022: I have a corded Shark that I love, but I dont get it out often enough because of the cord. So I bought the cordless. I keep it in the kitchen and use it daily. VERY convenient, easy to use, my long hair and the cat hair are not a problem. I usually end up vacuuming everything once I get started, so the floors are looking much better. The only issue I have is emptying the receptacle. I empty after each use and I usually have to use my fingers to get the last of the hair/dirt out. THATs kinda yucky. But I love the convenience and the cleaning power, so Ill learn to live with that issue. Ive owned it about six weeks - I will update, if needed, as time go by. Sept 25, 2022 Hair is stuck around the front small wheels and we had a terrible time getting the wheels off and putting them back in. Did some checking on amazon and wheels are not available for purchase. The wheels on this unit are thicker on one side than the other. All wheels on amazon have the same width for axle. I checked the Shark website and the wheels are not shown as available.

As the title states, it makes me miss my older, brush roller, Shark stick vacuum. My older model had better suction, better cleaning heads, real bristles instead of these power blades for better deep cleaning on carpets. The power blades cant really pull granules out of my rugs and capret like the older skark did. The older model battery only lasted about 12 minutes on high power mode, this one lasts about 25 min. The ergonomics are strange, with 2 modes for carpet and hard floor (probably why the battery lasts longer), you have the option to pull the trigger for max suction for a temporary spot. I found myself strapping on a zip tie to keep it on permanently because it just wouldnt pick up granules on my hardwood floor, defeating the purpose for multi modes, its always in carpet, max suction mode for my needs. Its small enough to work under beds and dressers, lays all the way flat to get under things which is nice. My biggest gripe, you have to sperate the vacuum to stand it up for storage. I ended up putting a carabineer on it and hanging it so I didnt increase wear and tear on the unit. My old Shark could just be parked upright. For pet application it probably is fine. Hair is light and would suck up hair well... most likely. I purchased this vacuum for anti allergen properties, but I dont have pets. Cleaning is a breeze with the dump cup and quick access to the filter. Cleaning immediately after is recommended, I found that after a few days the filter can build up and make the suction even worse, but thats what its for! I purchased while I was moving and unfortunately didnt start using it until the return window had closed, so Im stuck with this vacuum, but if I were to do it over, Id look for the next model up, something with better ergonomics or more powerful suction with bristles.

EDIT: After many emails back and forth with Shark, they finally agreed to send me the missing attachments. Took a few months to get all of them, as they sent 1 at a time as they became available, but I have them all now. As I said before, the vacuum works great and my only reason for the initial 1 star review was that I didnt receive all the attachments. Now that I have them, Ill change to a 4 star review. Taking off one star because I had to work way harder than I should have had to to get them -- and because they are STILL advertising as included the parts that Shark says are not included. This works great to get the cat hair out of my carpet, BUT the only attachment I received was the crevice tool. I dont want to return it, but is there any way the 2 dusting brushes pictured can be sent to me? UPDATE: Per the product description, WHATS INCLUDED: Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum, Crevice Tool, Dusting Brush, Pet Multi-Tool and Anti-Allergen Brush. The only attachment I got was the crevice tool. Amazon says my only recourse is to return the item or work with Shark. Dont want to return it, as I love the vacuum and it was a Black Friday deal. I contacted Shark, and they say the items are NOT included, but I can purchase them (at a cost of almost $60, plus tax and shipping). Aint gonna do that either. So Im changing my review to 1 star for lousy customer service. Neither Amazon nor Shark wants to take credit for the false advertising. Buyer beware.

I owned a dyson stick for several years and when it died I didn’t want to spend the money, especially after I felt the lifetime the dyson provided was not worth the money and lasted not as many years as my regular dyson had. Unfortunately, the shark has been a disappointment and I wish I had returned it. I have to disassemble the sweeper portion of the vacuum every other day to unclog it. I don’t know if this is because the suction is so weak that it can’t clear the head of debris or if the tube and connecting parts are of poor design. I’m not vacuuming anything out of the ordinary and it doesn’t get clogged by anything aside from dust, dirt, and dog hair. I’m not expecting it to suck up trash or wrappers. If I don’t pull the head apart and use my fingers to clear out the path from the floor portion to the stick then it will be completely clogged after 1-2 uses. Today after cleaning out the head all the dirt I was cleaning continued to fall out of the vacuum when turned off. I had to disassemble the actual debris storage area because it was so clogged on that end it wouldn’t collect anything else. Again, it appeared to be nothing large that would clog a vacuum, just dirt, animal hair, etc. but I had to pull out wads of it out of the vacuum because it wouldn’t shake into the trash and it wouldn’t clear it’s own clog. Again, not sure if this is a suction issue, a defective vacuum, or normal for this product. I would not purchase again.

Nice vacuum for quick cleaning small areas. Super handy when needing to reach to ceiling corners and narrow areas. Suction could be better, but it does fine as is.

I have never owned a battery operated vacuum. I have never owned a Shark. We just got a dog and as it turns out stays indoors. I needed a vacuum I could use daily, easy to grab and go without the cord to fight that would still have good suction. I had my doubts because it was battery operated. This vacuum makes the cleaning process a pleasure!!! Great suction, easy to maneuver, charges within an hour or two, lightweight, makes my carpet look brand new. I love it and would absolutely recommend it! (If there were anything I would recommend it would be they design a cleaning tool to freshen up the dust canister. Im sure I can come up with something, just being nit-picky.)

    Greater than one week

It works wonderfully both suction power and the added turbo switch helps out a lot . If you have dogs or cats this is the vacuum for you it picks up hair from all corners of the house great product thinking of buying another for the lake house.

After using this for 3 months, I’m returning the Dyson I bought less than a year ago for my guest house. This is more intuitive to use and has much better suction. When I push the Dyson around, it blows dust and hair away if it’s not right in front of it. The Dyson was also hard to empty. The cartridge just gets stuck and it’s hard to dislodge. I thought I just needed to get used to it, but when I got this for my main house, everything just worked and worked much better. The suction is great, and I love how well it picks up hair. Perhaps one of my favorite features is the size of the battery that pops right off so you can charge it anywhere. This is a huge convenience factor. I don’t have to have the vacuum stored near an outlet. It can be stored anywhere. This is hands-down a superior product. They thought of everything.

Great value. Was NOT heavy as some other reviews stated. Its a perfect balance of powerful and lightweight. The battery lasts a surprisingly long time. Easy to dump the canister. Filters are easy to clean. Do yourself a favor and get a few extra filters so that while one is drying after its rinsed, you can use the other immediately. You may want to get an extra battery as well (depending on how much you use it) so that you can always have a fresh battery ready to go. Absolutely excellent product!

This is our second Shark and we really like them, we have two golden retrievers and two cats! So we use our vacuum almost every other day on both hardwood and rugs. My only complaint is the small wheels beside the main brush get clogged with hair and do not roll. This has left streaks in our hardwood floors if anyone knows the fix for this please let me know ? But overall I would buy this again cleans very well and has good battery life.

The Shark Cordless Anti-Allergen Pet Power has incredible suction, a self-cleaning brushroll to eliminate hair wrap, and PowerFins technology for deep cleaning on carpets and floors. Engineered to emit clean air, Anti-Allergen Complete Seal technology is perfect for those sensitive to dust, allergens, and dander, keeping them out of the air you breathe.
