I won a Dyson V8 Animal Vacuum about two years ago, in a work contest. I ended up moving homes, and my original house became a rental. I kept the Dyson at the rental, and decided that I wanted to get a cordless vacuum for the permanent residence. I went with this vacuum, as I used to always love the Shark lineup of products. The price on this vacuum is fairly comparable to the Dyson. I cannot express this strongly enough, the Shark is an absolute embarrassment compared to the Dyson. The suction is weak by comparison, the detailing brushroll marks that make the look of the carpet pop, are almost nonexistent. Shark boasts that the battery lasts for 40 minutes per charge. NOPE. Barely ten minutes, since the very day that I got the machine. I have literally given this six months for it to grow on me, and I could not be more disappointed. For the price, get anything else. I will never buy a Shark again, despite always being a huge fan. I am incredibly disappointed, and wish i would have returned it and gotten my money back. Could not be more disappointed.

The creators of this vacuum cleaner thought about everything one desires in a vacuum. The ability to detach so many different pieces makes it impossible for anything to permanently get stuck in any part of the “tubing”. The battery even detaches so you don’t have to do anything major to recharge it. Cleaning is super easy, and not having to be concerned with cords makes moving around effortless .

UPDATE: I had to purchase a new head because the wheels are not removable to fix. That issue is not part of a warranty, shocker. The vacuum is (yes, believe it or not) heavy because it only has 1 wheel that is functional. Fun stuff paying an additional $50 for a vacuum I only purchased in August of 2022. The product itself is fine, it is sucking up dust, hair, cordless and small head so fits under furniture is a real bonus. The runtime is beyond inaccurate. I purchased in August of 2022. The runtime is currently 15-20 minutes, FULLY charged. Nowhere near 50 minutes as advertised! I do have the booster on when using it. I do feel that is very misleading of a runtime and should more clearly state the differences of using the booster vs. non-booster battery life.

I owned a dyson stick for several years and when it died I didn’t want to spend the money, especially after I felt the lifetime the dyson provided was not worth the money and lasted not as many years as my regular dyson had. Unfortunately, the shark has been a disappointment and I wish I had returned it. I have to disassemble the sweeper portion of the vacuum every other day to unclog it. I don’t know if this is because the suction is so weak that it can’t clear the head of debris or if the tube and connecting parts are of poor design. I’m not vacuuming anything out of the ordinary and it doesn’t get clogged by anything aside from dust, dirt, and dog hair. I’m not expecting it to suck up trash or wrappers. If I don’t pull the head apart and use my fingers to clear out the path from the floor portion to the stick then it will be completely clogged after 1-2 uses. Today after cleaning out the head all the dirt I was cleaning continued to fall out of the vacuum when turned off. I had to disassemble the actual debris storage area because it was so clogged on that end it wouldn’t collect anything else. Again, it appeared to be nothing large that would clog a vacuum, just dirt, animal hair, etc. but I had to pull out wads of it out of the vacuum because it wouldn’t shake into the trash and it wouldn’t clear it’s own clog. Again, not sure if this is a suction issue, a defective vacuum, or normal for this product. I would not purchase again.

4/5 for this product thus far due to missing accessories in the box from what is described to be in the box, which i’ve seen is a trend in this product unfortunately but missing the dust brush which isn’t the end of the world but is one reason i decided on buying this vacuum. Overall i’m very happy with this vacuum, i have an off brand robot vacuum that runs every other day but with 2 dogs it just wasn’t cutting it. the robot vacuum could run and i could do a pass with the shark right after and the dust canister is pack full of hair still, so needless to say it does a great job on dog and human hairs.

Suction: I didnt expect this to compete with my full size Dyson, but it is still a little underwhelming. It is pretty much useless on even short carpet. It does decently well on hard floors, and is more comfortable to use than a handvac, but it still has about the same suction as my cheap oldschoool handvac. Battery life: Pretty good, I havent run out of juice yet when cleaning. Noise: Its very quiet compared to my other vacuums, a ball dyson, cheap handvac, shopvacs. Charging: I thought this one came with a dock, thats on me for not reading it well. Leaning it against the wall and hunting for the charging cable gets a little annoying when you only needed it for a 30 second job. Overall: I think I would have gone with the similar LG model.

Overall, its a nice vacuum and great for hair given the squeegy style roller. But, wont stand on its own so storing isnt great. Also, unlike other Shark vacs I have, there is no front roller for against walls so misses about an inch near walls.

Love almost everything about this vacuum. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it does seem to clog really easily. It is really easy to clean, however.

I have been a vacuum connoisseur since I was a teenager - my Mom kept a clean house and I inherited her enjoyment of a clean house. Vacuuming is my favorite house chore - it actually relaxes me, so I always enjoy having a great vacuum that is easy to use. Right now, we have four doggos - Husky/GSD/Malamute mix, Husky/GSD/Dingo mix, GSD/Cattledog mix, and a purebred Carolina Dog (American Dingo). As you can imagine - we have a LOT of fur around here. My dogs literally shed twice a year - six months in the spring and six months in the fall. :) I vacuum the entire house at least once a day and sometimes twice. Ive had several cordless vacs - two from Dyson, one from Bissell, and two from Shark. The Dysons were dismal at picking up fur, and the Bissell was worse. And dont even get me started on the robot vacuums - we have had four (Roombas, Bobi, and Eufy) - completely ineffective and a waste of money. I got my first Shark Rocket Pet Pro vacuum in 2017, and I cant say enough about it! I have vacuumed up tons of fur with it, and it has always had great suction, great power, and its easy to keep it clean. I just replace the filters on it every month or two, and thats all the maintenance it needs. That poor vacuum died last week (through no fault of its own). I spent three days researching cordless vacuums, and kept coming back to the Shark Rocket Pet Pro. I bought a second to replace the first, and am still in love with this vacuum. Bonus: The new one that I bought has the upgraded handle with the hook for the motor, so it can stand on its own and be easily stored. The ONLY issue I have with this vacuum (and its not a huge problem): The self-cleaning brushroll is AMAZING! But - I have to stop once in a while and pull a ball of white Husky fur out of the floor attachment - the hole behind the brushroll that takes the debris up the long rod to the dustcup gets clogged (I tried to show a picture of it). When this gets blocked, the vacuum wont pick anything up. Again, not a deal breaker, especially with the self-cleaning brushroll, but it is the one less-than-perfect aspect of this unit. And Im probably the only one in the world with this issue, because I have my beautiful fur-factory doggos running around here. :) Overall, I adore this cordless vac and will recommend it to everyone!

This is the biggest disappointment of a vacuum Ive ever purchased. Maybe if it cost $50 Id be ok with it or just a little dustbuster. If you are using this to clean up anything besides a little dirt, all it does is pick it up, spin it around and spit it back out. I was looking for something versatile and smaller for my single family home and at first all I only really used it for was quick pick ups of sand or dirt from my toddler dragging in. Seemed ok at first, but after about a month (with regular cleaning of the head and everything else) it wouldnt even pick up a small amount of paper confetti. I have lots of trees and little bits of dried leaves get tracked in constantly, and this vacuum cant even pick up a dime size dried leaf. Please dont waste your money on this product. Its terrible and they should all be broken down for parts and used as art pieces, that way it will at least be useful.

The Shark Cordless Anti-Allergen Pet Power has incredible suction, a self-cleaning brushroll to eliminate hair wrap, and PowerFins technology for deep cleaning on carpets and floors. Engineered to emit clean air, Anti-Allergen Complete Seal technology is perfect for those sensitive to dust, allergens, and dander, keeping them out of the air you breathe.
