> 3 dayIt looks nice but very heavy, not suitable to carry up, down steps. I have more than one shark vacuum. It is my favorite kind. The older versions seemed to have better suction than the newer ones, the earlier versions of the lift away where the power head could go under furniture was way better. I’ll use it around the house. I bought it to go in an office I work to keep there but too heavy to carry up & down steps. I don’t like it compared to the recent ones I have purchased. The headlights is definitely something I love on the vacuum!

> 3 dayThe suction is superior. Easy to use and light enough. A little harder to push than others but not drastic and dust bin is smaller but the performance outweighs those two things.

> 3 dayI was searching for a vacuum that would be great for my dogs hair. I have an Australian Sheppard and mostly all thick carpet and they have broken every vacuum I’ve had. I had a Dyson multi floor (I had hard wood flooring when I got it) and it did well on the hard flooring but once we moved it broke within a few months. So far this shark has been amazing. It’s easy to maneuver and it gets under things much easier than my Dyson. The shark does really well on my carpet and with my long dog hair. I do still have to clean off the roll sometimes but not near as much. The shark also does great on our tile and the throw rug we have. It’s actually so great on our rug I could have cried with joy. It doesn’t suck it up into the roller, and it doesn’t suck so hard I can’t move the vacuum. Amazing. Over all I’m so happy with it and definitely recommend it to anyone no matter the flooring or hair.

> 3 dayThis is one of those vacuums that you dont use everyday, maybe once a week. Well, unless you want some ripped forearms and a torn rotator cuff because this is one heavy machine. Not so heavy that you cant bring it up and down stairs but youll be breaking a sweat if you have a medium to large size house, and forget about summer time. But with that weight comes some serious suction power. It picks up a lot of dirt even with just one stroke across each section of the carpet. The dustbin is also huge so no need to empty it in between rooms. It has a 30 foot cord that is very handy, maybe a bit unwieldy. It came with 3 attachments - an edge sucker, upholstery thing, and a wind-powered brush - all work reasonably well. The entire system of the lift-away is nifty and fairly straightforward once you understand how it works. Overall, its an amazing machine perfect for keeping the house as clean as it can get. I wish it were even a couple pounds lighter to make the maneuverability better but its not a deal breaker. Compared to Dyson, which I also own, it has great power to cost ratio making it an easy recommendation for those who are clean freaks but not wealthy.

> 3 dayI like this product and it does what it says it will. The problem I have been having is it clogs up all the time. Trying to unclog the hose took 45 mins. I use it for work and it gets used often so it gets used more than a home one would. The head also needs to be cleaned pretty often. The positives about it is that the suction is great, the lift away feature is nice for stairs, and it comes apart to clean.

Greater than one weekGot this today, was a breeze to assemble and get going. Picks up a lot of dirt and hair quickly, I like the no tangle bush as we have a longer hair dog, and my wife and daughter both have long hair which used to have to be cut from the beater bar of our old vac on a regular basis. This one has 3 filters so good for allergies, and the dual brushes which did very well on carpet and hardwood, getting a lot of the dust on the wood floor the old one couldnt get. Only a few things to note, the bin is a bit small and had to be dumped a lot because of pet hair, 3 times on our main living room. It is not the lightest vacuum but about the same as our old one. I wish it came with a cleaning brush head (separate order...) and had room on board for all the attachments instead of just 2. The head is low profile and fits places our old one would not, and it turns very well. Will see how well it holds up as the Dyson 07 it is replacing lasted us for 20 years and did a good job consistently. Just didnt want to pay top dollar for a Dyson again. 3 months later and the vacuum is still doing a great job. We have not had any problems with hair wrap on the brush bar with our golden retrievers fur. Still have to dump the bin a lot with pet fur. Still miss that there was no standard brush attachment, but came with basically two upholstery brushes one powered, one not. About to order the standard long bristle cleaning brush so I can clean the air return and vents, be nice if the sizes were standard so I could just use the old ones from other vacuums. Another quick update, trying to find accessories like the dusting brush has been difficult. Shark does not carry one on their website, even though the owners manual says they do, and cant or wont tell you the dimensions needed. Ordering one from Amazon, let you know if it fits in a later update.

> 3 dayWow is all I can say. This vacuum is the very best I have ever owned. I have 2 dogs and a lady with long hair that is everywhere. Vacuumed the entire house and not one hair was wrapped around the roller. And man does it pick everything up. Love the adjustable suction can even vacuum throw rugs without them being sucked up into vacuum. It is absolutely fantastic on carpet and hardwood floors. This was the best decision I ever made. Highly recommend for anyone for all type of cleansing. Very easy to use on stairs.. Super great product Shark.

> 3 day***ATTENTION*** 3-30-21 I HAVE FIGURED OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS UNIT. THE FILTER BEING CONE SHAPED RESULTS IN ONLY THE VERY TOP OF THE FOAM FILTER ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING. THIS MEANS A VERY SMALL PORTION OF THE FILTER GETS CLOGGED UP WITH DUST AND THE LARGEST PART OF THE FILTER DOES NOTHING. SO AFTER USING THE VACUUM TWO OR THREE TIMES THE FILTER BECOMES CLOGGED RESULTING IN VERY VERY POOR SUCTION. ONCE THE FILTER IS CLOGGED UP THE VACUUM NO LONGER CLEANS CARPETS OR RUGS, RATHER IT GRINDS THE DIRT DOWN DEEP INTO THE FIBERS. THE ONLY WAY TO COMBAT THIS IS TO BUY ANOTHER FILTER AND SWITCH THEM AS SOON AS IT LOOKS DIRTY OR PULL THE FILTERS AND CLEAN THEM AFTER EVERY 2ND OR 3RD USE. ***THIS IS100% DO NOT BUY A SHARK VACUUM WITH A CONE SHAPED FOAM FILTER.*** I had been extremely satisfied with our original shark purchase approximately ten years ago. It is the white professional version of the lift away series i believe. We still use it in our basement. It has been a top notch performer from day one. We couldnt have been more satisfied with it. So i was certain we would be getting an even better unit this time around! I couldnt have been more wrong. My wife noticed right away that this new unit lacked the suction of the old by quite a bit. It left dog hair on our only rug. We have a white dog and dark area rug so its hard to miss. I brushed it off thinking that she must not have been using the right settings. Until recently when i used the vacuum myself. What a hunk of junk this thing is! We literally have one 7x10 area rug and this thing left dog hair everywhere. I spent a half hour trying to get it all off. Trying both rollers on, one roller on. The air dam closed, a little open, all the way open. I checked the filters, everything. NOTHING WORKED!!!! So i got the old vacuum and yep. It picked it right up. Every last piece of hair was gone. What ive found is that this vacuum does a great job on the hardwood but is just awful on any kind of carpets. I went back over the 7x10 area rug i had just spent 30 minutes on with our old vacuum and picked up another half canister of dust and hair that the new one had been grinding down into the rug. Not only that but there was a ton of sand UNDERNEATH the rug itself! This never happened with the old shark vacuum. We would lift the rug once a month and there would be a dusting of fine sand not a sandbox like this left. Sadly our return window has closed on this hunk of junk. So ive got to eat the $350 i spent on it. The old shark is no longer produced either so i guess well have to give dyson a try this time around.
