15-11-2024Another Great Shark product. Amazing suction and lots of very useful tools. Very heavy compared to others but the quality is worth it. Works perfectly on hard floor and the light feature is extremely handy. If you are going to use this on 1 floor and not carry it up and down stairs, this is the perfect cleaner. Worth every penny.

> 3 dayI bought this after owning the Dyson yellow ball for 10 years. I was very happy with the Dyson, but I had heard a lot of great things about Shark. This vacuum picks up everything! My area rugs look new again. The cord on this model is long enough to cover my living area without moving to a different plug. Its also easy to maneuver. We have 2 dogs. There was always a doggy smell after we ran the Dyson. Not so with this one. It really is great.

> 3 dayI had big expectations for the price. I’m really happy with it. I love the filtration, as my son has severe asthma. I can’t believe how much I am getting up when I get this bad boy out!

15-11-2024***ATTENTION*** 3-30-21 I HAVE FIGURED OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS UNIT. THE FILTER BEING CONE SHAPED RESULTS IN ONLY THE VERY TOP OF THE FOAM FILTER ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING. THIS MEANS A VERY SMALL PORTION OF THE FILTER GETS CLOGGED UP WITH DUST AND THE LARGEST PART OF THE FILTER DOES NOTHING. SO AFTER USING THE VACUUM TWO OR THREE TIMES THE FILTER BECOMES CLOGGED RESULTING IN VERY VERY POOR SUCTION. ONCE THE FILTER IS CLOGGED UP THE VACUUM NO LONGER CLEANS CARPETS OR RUGS, RATHER IT GRINDS THE DIRT DOWN DEEP INTO THE FIBERS. THE ONLY WAY TO COMBAT THIS IS TO BUY ANOTHER FILTER AND SWITCH THEM AS SOON AS IT LOOKS DIRTY OR PULL THE FILTERS AND CLEAN THEM AFTER EVERY 2ND OR 3RD USE. ***THIS IS100% DO NOT BUY A SHARK VACUUM WITH A CONE SHAPED FOAM FILTER.*** I had been extremely satisfied with our original shark purchase approximately ten years ago. It is the white professional version of the lift away series i believe. We still use it in our basement. It has been a top notch performer from day one. We couldnt have been more satisfied with it. So i was certain we would be getting an even better unit this time around! I couldnt have been more wrong. My wife noticed right away that this new unit lacked the suction of the old by quite a bit. It left dog hair on our only rug. We have a white dog and dark area rug so its hard to miss. I brushed it off thinking that she must not have been using the right settings. Until recently when i used the vacuum myself. What a hunk of junk this thing is! We literally have one 7x10 area rug and this thing left dog hair everywhere. I spent a half hour trying to get it all off. Trying both rollers on, one roller on. The air dam closed, a little open, all the way open. I checked the filters, everything. NOTHING WORKED!!!! So i got the old vacuum and yep. It picked it right up. Every last piece of hair was gone. What ive found is that this vacuum does a great job on the hardwood but is just awful on any kind of carpets. I went back over the 7x10 area rug i had just spent 30 minutes on with our old vacuum and picked up another half canister of dust and hair that the new one had been grinding down into the rug. Not only that but there was a ton of sand UNDERNEATH the rug itself! This never happened with the old shark vacuum. We would lift the rug once a month and there would be a dusting of fine sand not a sandbox like this left. Sadly our return window has closed on this hunk of junk. So ive got to eat the $350 i spent on it. The old shark is no longer produced either so i guess well have to give dyson a try this time around.

> 3 dayheavier than most vacuums used in the past. had to clean the roller as pet and human hair caused it to stop suctioning instructions on how to put attachments on vacuum were not clear. did not keep hair from collecting on roller. pretty heavy vacuum It does clean pretty good though, if you keep the roller from getting to much wrapped around it

> 3 dayI got this ZU782 Rotator to replace a Shark Navigator Powered Lift Away Pet (nv586). Our house is mostly hardwood now, and we use a Shark ION Flex with DuoClean - its awesome for hardwoods, the front roller does a great job polishing the wood and picking up ANYTHING large. I figured this model would be great on carpet as well - but despite the ridiculously high suction this vacuum has, the Zero M brush does NOT agitate the carpet enough. I vacuumed a 10-sqft section of carpet with this vacuum, and noticed the brush lines in the carpet were very fine, but not very pronounced. I took my Shark Navigator, emptied the bin out and vacuumed the same section again. The amount of dirt and dog hair the ZU782 left behind was ASTONISHING! The Navigator has a traditional brush head that is powered, and very similar suction power - but that brush head is planted much closer to the carpet than the ZU782 has the Zero M roller positioned and I think that is what makes all the difference on carpet. The wand on the ZU782 has a larger diameter hose thats longer than my navigators, and its on a really nice swivel as well. It comes with a air powered wand attachment - I had one on a old Dyson and found it to be mediocre. It is also NOT a powered lift away - meaning when you lift away the base with motor - the main brush head is detached and can not be used separately as the navigators can - though its not a super useful less going under beds.

> 3 dayreally excited when this came and then... put together was good other than wand would not stay in place in main unit, found that tab was stuck and had to giggle it loose to catch (SHOULD have just boxed it back up and sent it back BIG MISTAKE to not do) Then found on first use on carpet there is a short in the electrical cord somewhere so during use the brush feature will turn itself off and I have to giggle or pull on the cord to get it to start again - MAJOR ISSUE. Box got thrown away (efficient husband) before I realized what an issue this vacuum is. My son has one and never had any issues so thats why I got this one. Its just the luck of the draw I guess for poor quality workmanship and quality control.

Greater than one weekWow this vacuum is so good. we bought this a while back and had to return it to the place we bought it, but we bought another one here at a really good price. this vacuum has greta suction and work great and bare floor and carpets which the vacuum has setting for the different type of floors. when you use it in carpet make sure you use the suction switch at the handle, it will make it easier to vacuum carpets. the vacuum says is self cleaning but Im gonna have to break it to you, this one still needs you to clean anything that gets on the rollers. this vacuum is a good buy, if you have pets or alleges it have 2 filter that stop the dust from getting out use you vacuum. The biggest different between this and a 100 dollar vacuum, is not allowing the dust to blow back out for you to breath it. Well worth it
