> 3 dayI do not like this Shark, I cant I do not like it, so I shant I do not like it, so I rant I do not like it. I. Just. Cant. Its heavy and its awkward It pulls you to and fro Its hard to steer around your room But dont you let it go, ka-Zoom!! Do not buy this Shark, I say Do not buy it! No, I say. Do not think about it twice. Do not think about it thrice! Just go now. Just run away... Or it will run away... on you! All fun aside --- Oh... It does have suction power but pulls you with it. And I mean it Pulls hard. You almost have to fight with it to pull it back towards you and then it just wants to take off. Getting it to the upright position again is another issue - because it doesnt like being still- it just wants to keep moving. The pet hair attachments arent that great either- they are very awkward to use and miss a lot. I really miss having a retractable cord too. None of the attachments stay clipped in well or easily. On top of all that, the dust cup is so small that even in my tiny living room (only 15x15,) I have to empty the cup often, at least 4 times every time I vacuum. I thought Id only have to do that the first couple of times I used it. Nope. We dont exactly have a house full of kids running around either so it shouldnt be that full. Im starting to wonder if its eating my carpet. I havent had back spasms in over 10 years. They showed up the day after I started using this vacuum cleaner. Hmmm... Theres other Shark vacuum cleaners that are great- this isnt one of them.

> 3 dayI dont normally leave reviews, but I just used this vacuum for the first time and I LOVE IT! I have 4 adopted dogs and 1 foster dog currently, so needless to say dog hair is a major issue in my house. I have hardwood floors and area rugs and it cleans both beautifully. Its easy to maneuver around and under furniture. I used it on the furniture too and it did a great job getting the hair! Ive gone through several vacuums over the years and broken a few with what I require from a vacuum. I dont know how this baby will hold up long term, but right now Im definitely in love!!!!!!

> 3 dayThis guy Ernest took really good care of a shipping issue at great expense to himself. I bought this vacuum for myself months ago and loved it. So I bought it for a friend as a wedding gift. Amazon is having problems with address software it seems and long story short it got sent to me twice instead of them. He sent them one really quickly and I’m very impressed with his response time. I’m not impressed with the checkout software At All, however. The vacuum is an absolute beast in the power department. It is quite heavy, but once you get the hang of it, it is very maneuverable.

> 3 dayI am pretty impressed with this vacuum. After using a Dyson for years it was getting to expensive to repair. So gambled on the Shark after reading the reviews. Wife is pretty picky when it comes to vacuums. So far she is happy with this one

Greater than one weekDoes a great job on floors but not as easy to use when doing stairs. Needs to have a better system when you lift away and use the hose for the stairs. it doesnt have a good head on the hose for cleaning the surfaces of the stairs. Amazed at how much dirt, dust and hair it collects every time it is used.

19-11-2024Ive been searching for a vacuum that would pick up cat litter scattered on the floor; this Shark is a winner. This is my first time using a Duo and I am impressed. The vacuum is more than I wanted to spend, but that seems to be the norm with any decent vacuum. To address some of the other reviews: a) I have had no issues with vacuum being unstable when stood up. Just make sure the floor part is clicked in / latched into the upright part of the vacuum. I have had it standing on hardwood, tile, and low-pile carpet. b) Yes, the cord is low on the body of the upright part of the vacuum. This is my second Shark canister vacuum and the cord has been low on both of them, probably because of the canister needing to be removable. In order to prevent running over the cord when pulling the vacuum backwards; I lay the first section of the cord up and over the top cord hook. Works great this way.

> 3 dayI paid for and ordered a NEW vacuum. As I unpacked my vacuum, I started to notice that there was minimal packaging. A bit odd, but I kept going. Then as I read the manual to assemble and use, I get to the end and see that it is a refurbished product with a 90 day warranty. I’m asking for a refund. This is unacceptable. I carefully selected a NEW price option and nothing in the description says it is not new.
