Snappy Tools Plug Cutter, 3/8

I bought this to cut mahogany plugs and all it did is burn the wood did not get one plug drilled - dont buy

Probably cuts a good plug for hardwood but absolutely blows for softwood don’t bother.

This tool arrived promptly, and in good condition. It does an excellent job at what it was intended to do.

Does cut a 3/8” plug cleanly and with a nice tapered end if you drive it all the way down. I’ve cut about 30-35 plugs in hard sapele and I have had no problems at al. I use my drill press on the slow speed- that’s important. And it cuts the hard wood well. It does heat up some after about our plugs I stick it in some water and start again.

This is a great plug cutter, perfectly sized.

Great plug maker. Recommend using a drill press to ensure they are all straight and uniform. Take your time and let the tool cut the plug. Dont force it!

Works great easily can be sharpened

It worked good it does waste a lot of wood. The size it cuts is dead on or at least it matched my bit perfectly or a bit tight. Im happy with it.
