> 3 dayI had a larger Flare before this but needed something smaller to carry to the sports bar and use with the Tunity app to hear my college games. Im rather impressed with the sound this puts out for being smaller and batter life seems reasonable - altho I wish the Soundcore app would work with this like the other Flares to know how much battery is left. And the buttons have minimal markings with no backlighting so its especially hard to make out in low lighting which are for volume. What is also kind of annoying is that the Bluetooth button tends to go to stereo mode (white light) mode first and you have to realize to press it again to get a blinking blue light indicating pairing mode.

> 3 dayIt sounds pretty good for a small speaker. My main annoyance with other small speakers I’ve bought are: really bright indicator or decorative lights, and a jarring and loud sound when powering the speaker on and off. This does ok on the former. I keep it by my bed and don’t want night lights. Decorative color led’s have good configuration options, and the ability to turn them off. Power and Bluetooth buttons are too bright, so I drew over them with a sharpie to make them dimmer. Regarding sounds at power on and off, this is better than any I’ve tried. Although you can’t turn the sounds off (why not??), they are quiet enough to not be a source of annoyance. I can turn it off while my spouse is soundly sleeping and it won’t wake him up. All in all, it works for me.

Greater than one weekThe sound is so-so but all I use it for is to listen to podcasts in the bathroom so it’s fine. I use my 15 year old little UE for music in there and that one is much better. The Anker Sound Core Motion + has excellent sound compared to the Anker Flare Mini, but it costs a lot more and if you want great sound for $100, choose that one.

> 3 dayThe speaker works as advertised, and it seems to be built well, but the sound is noticeably worse than the JBL I have, so Ive mostly stopped using the Soundcore speaker. Music sounds hollow and spoken voices in podcasts are noisier than they should be.

> 3 dayWas looking to get my mom a portable Bluetooth speaker for Christmas and ended up getting this one. When it came in I was surprised it was somewhat heavy. I was thinking it was going to be a cheap speaker. Once she opened it and I set it up for her, I was truly amazed by the sound quality. Couldn’t believe the amount of bass coming out of a small speaker like this compared to others I had. She loved it! I ended up ordering the regular Soundcore Flare for myself after reading that it was louder and you could change the light patterns, sound settings through Bluetooth witch this one does not have. After getting the regular one and comparing it to this one I found that the bass is slightly better on this one even though the regular Flare does get louder. If I had known this I would have also gotten this one and not the regular. If you are looking for something small that you can take with you anywhere with great sound quality/price then this speaker is for you!

> 3 daySome reviews for the Mini said this is a great party speaker. Maybe Edna’s 92nd birthday at Shady Acres Retirement Home. It’s loud enough indoors in a normal size room of your house and for ambient background sound outside, but I returned it after it failed to garner even one irritated glance from the neighbors on Cookout Tuesday. I may try the Flare 2, but I’m not hopeful.

> 3 dayThis unit has pretty decent sound and great battery life. The app controls work great and the ability to control the LED lights is an awesome feature. I got this for the pool area and have no regrets.
