> 24 hourThe Oceania birds are ever-more colorful and powerful in the game, but its the nectar thats the real star of the show here. We play with this expansion every time we play now!

> 24 hourNectar is a wild resource which really just makes the game too easy. Should have never added this to the game. Stick with Wingspan and the first expansion... dont get this

> 24 hourThis expansion is just more of the same with just a few new mechanics, which in my opinion makes this expansion a great addition to a fantastic game. Cant wait for the next expansion.

> 24 hourGreat expansion, just seems to add another level of depth to the game. The nectar speeds up the game too which is nice.

> 24 hourWe are LOVING the Oceania expansion pack for Wingspan. To us, this pack has made the game more enjoyable and more competitive. This pack makes it a little harder for one player to run away with the game, and a little easier for any player to utilize the resources they’ve collected as the game winds down. If that sounds appealing to you, GET THIS PACK. Much attention is paid to the introduction of a new food type: Nectar, and that is the most obvious change with the Oceania pack, but it is by no means the only one. Perhaps the biggest change is that the habitat boards are new, and they are MUCH MORE WELL-BALANCED between food, eggs, and bird cards. In the original base Wingspan game, the final round is often just a relatively boring race to lay as many eggs as you can in your habitat. With the Oceania pack, you’ll find there are a greater variety of end-of-game strategies. This is because the board is more balanced (in teens of the value of each move), but also because there are many more types of end-of-game goals that a player may be shooting for (some of which come from having played certain new bird cards). The Nectar is of course great because it acts as a sort of food wild card, but also because there are end-of-round and end-of-game goals for using Nectar. Then there are the birds themselves — countless beautiful, new, and interesting bird cards with some exotic names and fun, exotic powers. I’ve tossed a sample of them in one of the photos. That’s not all. You get some all new types of end-of-round goal tiles, for example. Grab this expansion, or wait for it to go on sale for under $20 (which happens occasionally). It’s a great value and a great addition to Wingspan. ADDITIONAL TIP #1: If you haven’t purchased a manual crank card shuffler yet, you’ll find it extremely valuable for this game, given that you now have hundreds of bird cards. ADDITIONAL TIP #2: It is advised that you remove the Ravens and the Killdeer from the deck when playing with the Oceania expansion pack. Those birds are too powerful and if played early can provide an unfair advantage, or just make it too easy/boring to rack up points.

> 24 hourI already love the base game, and this adds a bit more strategy to the game and helps freshen things up. New bird powers that help improve player interactions (probably the games biggest weak point) and new bonus point categories help keep its varied and bring me back to it over and over again. Worth getting if you already like the base game.

> 24 hourInitial reaction to this expansion is, why bother. But it grows on you immensely. Please give it 3 solid tries. Use those teal powers.
