This has become our go-to game for our family. It does take a while to catch on, but once you do, it is addicting! We also have the expansions which add more dimensions to the game. Our family loves this game.

When I find a game I really love and like I try very hard to get the expansions to keep the fun going and to make things more interesting. I do have to say the cards have a very different feel than the ones in the main beginner set. They are more grainy to the touch. However, they are still pretty fun to add to up the heat on a good game. These are a little more advance with some rules. There are more bird abilities. However, you do get some extra food tokens for your bird costs, you also get a bag of extra egg tokens. This is the first expansion I have. I bought this and the beginner set at the same time. In recent years I have become involved with birds. From volunteering to just birding when I have a chance. I find this to be a great thing to buy if you are or if you know any naturalist or a birder. This is just a great game for any nature lover and who likes a little bit of friendly competition. I find this game to be fun and relaxing. I like video games but I really love card and board games and above all edutainment. These are all birds that you can encounter in the wild and the cards are remarkable at giving accurate information as you play the game. It is almost like you are playing something but also studying a field guide. The cards even have range maps and other information for the birds. This is a game that goes above and beyond. It is a much welcomed edition to my gaming collection.

Awesome game its our most played game in family and brtween friends. adding new winning paths and new game mechanics.

My wife and I love the original Wingspan, so it was a no-brainer for us to try the expansion out. After about 12 games or so we both have really enjoyed playing with the expansion. It introduces a few new mechanics and several new cards. To me, the original game could easily get too focused on egg laying. The European Expansion changes things up some and offers some different end-game goals that make the game seem fresh again. We normally play with just two players. Highly recommend both this and the original!

This is a well constructed game with lots of strategy involved. Took me 3 times with help from my friends to learn the basics but the more I play it the more I realize how brilliantly it is put together. The properties that the birds have, the value of the bird card, the amount of food necessary to play the card are meticulously worked out. Im not a game player in general but I am a bird lover and when I found how great this game is, I was delighted.

This mad an already fun game even better. There are many super cool birds with great characteristics, ams well as new round end goals.
